New to the area but everywhere i hear people seem to want a sweeping change in the Police Chief and Mayor. The names i'm hearing the most positive uplifting talk about is Chip Timbes and Tommy Irvin.

David is an excellent choice for chief of police. He has done a great job these past few years and I feel no need to change.
No 2 Timbes

Timbes will never be Chief - too much baggage and bad blood. Lancaster is a much better candidate.

Go Tommy Irwin! Keep hope alive!!!

Well mr new to Corinth, Let me be the 1st to say Why in the hell would you move here??Now on to the topic at hand. Don't know much about Mr Irvin but Mayor Latch has got to go. Now if Mr Irwin is for appointing a Chief then as bad as I hate to say it I would HAVE to vote for Mayor Latch. As for Chip Timbes, Got fired fromCPD, Got fired From Alcorn County Sheriff's Dept, Was appointed Chief at Burnsville and , you guessed it Got Fired, He is an idiot that just wont go away. Isn't he the one that had a K9 unit and left it out in the car on about 100 degree day and it died. I'm not sure about that last part but look the rest up. Yes he was FIRED!!!!

Irwin has no power to appoint anyone if he is elected he cannot even hire his own secretary we have what u call a weak mayor his job is just to carry out the wishes of the board he dies get a vote in issue ending with a tie and 2 votes on employee issues. Does not get to set policy and if we go to an appointed police cheif like the FD that seems to work well then it will be a change on charter that will require a vote from the citizens. Did you know the pc can not fire or hire his own dept can not give promotions or raises it is all on the hands of the board he is elected but has no power so maybe our system needs a little change

Is Tommy Inman still on the force, or did he retire.

I think the bad misfortune for chip was the fact that he enforced the law, instead of taking a payoff so to speak. Did you ever think he might have been fired for doing his job and not showing favoritism ? Everybody seems to want the inner circle out and new people in office. He
Is as honest as they come and will enforce the law no matter who it is or who they are related too.
That may be exactly what we need!

If Mr. Irwin will have no power how can he keep promises he is making?

I doubt very seriously that is why he was fired. If it happened once then MAYBE. But multiple times. I don't think so. He let a dog die in his car for goodness sake.

Chip was fired for enforcing the law? He was fired for doing his job?If that were true he would have a lawsuit against someone.Fact is he was FIRED from 3 completely different agencys, one of which was his own hometown,so i believe he was fired because he is a complete idiot that doesn't have a clue how to do the job. When the town that you were born and raised in appoints you chief and then fires you, that should speak volumes for him.HE IS AN IDIOT!! Burnsville didn't even want him!! And he wants the people of Corinth to believe his bullshit.I hope the people of corinth are smart enough to look at his past record and after they stop laughing, elect the man that has done an outstanding job for what the past 8 yrs or so.

He will be back, he has to sleep sometime. I've never seen anyone so negative and has to comment about any and everything. He does need a life, but first he needs to clean up his language.

From what I have seen, David Lancaster has done nothing for our police dpt. and believe Chip will do what it takes to get the job done.

I do believe the dog was in a running car with air on and from what I understand, the car died.
