The topix thread about the fired Principal of Alcorn Central Middle School has been removed. The Principal is being treated with special favor because he is one of the elites. The rest of us get our names drug through the mud, but here is a public figure person who actually does something of public concern and topix bows down to him or whoever asked that the thread be removed. People, your rights are being taken away, and now they are doing it where children are concerned. What is going on? The School District owes us an explanation.

Topix.com is an international website. They care nothing about little Corinth's Who thinks they're Who. It is not difficult to have a thread removed, it just has to get reported and then it takes a couple days.

Damn, how stupid can you be to believe that's what is happening?

I hope the two, that apparently think this is happening, are simply trolling.

It is sad that we have to get what little information there is out there from Memphis and Tupelo news. This reminds me of the Lloyd case. That was on the Memphis news again two weeks ago.
Guess this is what happens when you live in a small town.

Let them have their conspiracy theory. It makes them feel they have won one against a non-existent enemy. They can blame these "people" for the failure in their lives.

Was wondering myself where the thread went. Could it be also that it commented about a former teacher that had an affair with a coach at achs and now that former teacher is in the district attorney's office? WE PARENTS AND TAX PAYING CITIZENS HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW ABOUT THIS...IT CONCERNS OUR CHILDREN. Jimmy Price stated in his interview that student's privacy may have been violated. What did this pompous, arrogant *^%( do to our children? We want to know!!!

The Memphis news story cited the Daily Corinthian. And the DC had the story of his firing before the Daily Journal had it. Just saying. No need to bitch and moan about local news coverage when you're obviously not paying attention.

I think she is right and you are wrong. It was on the daily Corinthian website monday and in the tupelo paper Monday. Did not hit Corinthian paper till Wednesday. Then it was on the memphis news Friday, that is how everyone knew he was fired, did not hit Corinthian until day after it was reported on news. So yeah, that sounds fishy, fired wednesday,, not reported locally till it hits memphis news. Should have been in Corinthian Thursday. Parents have a right to know. They took his computer and cameras from school? This is worse than any of can probably imagine!

No. You're wrong on that. The story went online on the Corinthian website Friday night. Memphis saw it, did a story that night. It just ran in the Saturday DC paper because it was written Friday. Not because they saw it on the news at 10 p.m. on Friday. The paper would've already gone to print by the time the TV news story hit.

I am going to agree with some of what the other poster said. I to saw it on the Daily Corinthian website Monday and it did not hit the actual paper till Wednesday. It was in the Tupelo Journal a couple days before Daily Corinthian.
My understanding from a couple of my friends at Central schools was that parents have been calling the school daily and not getting any answers and that parents have contacted Memphis news. Memphis news said the same. I do however think that Mrs. Rogers is doing right and not making any statements until the investigation is over.
I personally did not know that he had been fired till I saw it on the Memphis news, so my original point was it was reported through them first, did not hit the Daily Corinthian till today. I think it should have been in the paper Thursday. That is just my opinion, not trying to argue with you or anyone else. Just stating my opinion. I do get more local news from other sources that the Daily Corinthian.
Either way, does not matter who reported what first, I do think the parents have the right to know. It is utter chaos at the school now and everyone is trying to keep their mouths shut. I hope the truth no matter what it is comes out and the children of our community are protected.

The teachers have been threatened with termination if they tell anything they know. I asked my wife about it and she said "honey, I'll tell you, but we've been told if we talk, we'll lose our jobs too!". I just told her never mind. I'd find out when everyone else does. I don't want her to feel any pressure from me. As long as my wife is safe and can do her job, im ok. Im only posting this, so people will know and understand why your Alcorn Central teachers aren't giving out information. They are too scared to talk.

If they know the facts, and are fired for disclosing the facts, whose head do you think the parents will demand on a platter? Not the honest teacher! We will be going after the acting administrators. We deserve to know the truth right now if the truth is known. And we don't need the sausage grinder version of the truth!!

I have it on good authority the reason he was fired but you didn't hear it from me. I found out from my nieces daddy cousin wife uncle stepbrother sister daddy unborn child. Mr burch was caught picking his nose in the cafeteria. He stuck one of the boogers under the table. Then a kid came in for lunch and got it and ate it thinking it was a piece of gum.

Y'all are pathetic. As far as a lawsuit on the county school system and no matter how much I dislike the current super unless they hired him knowing about past criminal activity then they are not responsible for any monetary restitution. No business can completely monitor every employees actions and thoughts. If he was doing something he should not have then the administrators did what they should. They suspended him and then fired him once they have proof. This stupid balance chaser/lawyer should be looking to sue the suspect not the school system.
