I need a Pediatrician for a child that may have ADD. Does anyone know who is the best for this disorder?

I would suggest more than an average pediatrician be used for ADD. Check Tupelo or ask a pediatrician for referral to someone that specializes in these disorders. The meds used for this can be personality altering to say the least if not found to be compatible with the patient could cause more problems than you may be dealing with now. I would want my child, if in question, examined by a professional in this area and someone that could monitor their meds to get them on the type and dosage best suited to them. I wish you lots of luck. I know from a family member once the person is on meds it can certainly make life easier for the child and the parent.

Forget Erica Noyes. That place has gone to hell over the past couple of years. Go see Corinth Family Care(next to Lonnies) and let him refer you to that good specialist in Tupelo. You will be well pleased with him

NO DOUBT, Dr. Marta Hans is the best. She has years of experience, and if she don't know what is wrong with them she will send them to someone that will figure it out. She is beyond great.

And if you don't do exactly what Ms Marta says she will call DHS on you.

Exscues Me, but Erica Noyes is NOT a Pediatrcian, she is a Family Doctor. She DOES not have the specialty of the Pediatrician, because she did not go on to further her education. Dont believe me just ask her, or better yet, look on her door. But then I would never go back there if she was the last "doctor" playing on earth. i would rather let my little kids play doctor on me than her. She just likes too refer, refer, refer..........
Glad to help

I really like dr McKinney at magnolia. He's to the point and has a great bedside manner even with the kids. He doesn't hospitalize for anything that can be treated at home. Who wants to sit in a hospital room with a small child getting iv fluids when the child can simply be at home more comfortable and taking meds by mouth? It's easier on the child and parent. Also less money spent.

Dr. Baldwin is absolutely the best Pediatrician in the area. If you have a child with ADD you need a psych Doctor though. Most medical doctors don't know enough about psych meds to treat correctly. Find a peadiatrician and then have them refer you to a good Childrens Psychologist.

To "learnsomething", My stepdaughter has ADHD and we use Dr.Baldwyn in Booneville.. His office is in the hospital and he is very patient and if he can't help you with something he will sent you to someone that can.. But we have been using him for her ADHD for years and are very pleased!

As I understand it, there are only two "Board Certified" Pediatricians in Corinth...Dr McKinney and Dr Thomas. I don't believe that Dr Marta is "Board Certified".
