Here we are in the middle of a recession and both the Corinth City and School are raising our taxes. Have they no shame or are they typical Democrats that never met a tax increase or never turn down a chance to waste public money?

Schools should cut taxes. All they do is build and spend. Not much in the way of results.

Today's headline in the Daily Corinthian is that unemployment in Alcorn County is up to 9.1% but is lower than last years 11.3%. Tell me the leaders here are in touch with the economy and the current economic conditions? Almost one out of ten people is unemployed and they are raising our taxes.

You are omitting the fact that lots of those people are unemployed by choice. There are jobs out there but most people do not want the jobs that are available. I have a friend who is 24 and in the last 2 years has had 4 jobs, all of which this person has bettered their self by changing jobs. Point being, there are jobs, you have to be willing to go look for them and not think you are above them. It is said it is easier to find a job while you have a job. Not to mention some just want to get something for nothing and are just o lazy to work.
My opinion, any job is better than no job!
