i just personally beleive in Jesus name baptism cause there is no other name given under heaven among which men might be saved i beleive in telling people what i feel God has given me however they must let him open their eyes and i have to tell the truth according to Gods word with love and compassion not bash them out cause they may have a different opinion
I would like to say first off I attend a Baptist church,, i don't agree with every detail of Baptist doctrine, but find it closer to what I believe the bible teaches us, I've attended Pentecostal, holiness, non denomination and many others. I have many good Pentecostal friends, and have preached in all denominations above. I baptized in the name of Jesus, not because i believe you will go to hell if you do it another way but because Jesus taught the disciples in all things in which they should observe and they did baptize in the name and not "lord forgive this phrase" the title's. But,,,, the folks that stand on the Jesus name baptism is the only way to get to heaven have a big problem with their teaching. The son of God's name wasn't Jesus! It was YeShua. YeShua is the hebraic name of our lord and savior. If you stand and say there's only one name given under heaven in which a man can be saved you better go get rebaptized because you had the wrong name used. YeShua HaMashiach is our lord and messiah. And believe it or not there's actually churches here in the united states that teach if your not baptized in the name of YeShua your going to hell, boy does that sound familiar. Once you finally realize that its not by works but by grace you can truly have peace in christ. Works is anything that you have a part of, making sure you was baptized right, what you wear, any actions you carry out that controls your salvation. The fact is, your good works nor your bad works doesn't hold your salvation, its surrendering all to him and realizing this is way bigger than you are and its out of your hands. Its always been the blood.

Btw,,, the old testament folks were saved the same way we are today, the only difference is we look back to the day the blood ran down the cross and they looked forward to the day the blood would run down the cross. The blood of bullocks was just a temporary sacrifice from year to year, it was never sufficient, the day Jesus blood was shed the debt was paid for all of us from the day Adam fell till the day Jesus returns, we just have to accept it.

Well said.
The greatest thing I was saved from, was myself.

I believe baptizim is important to a saved person, but Jesus Himself said to baptize in the name of the Father, Son, Holy spirit /Ghost.

I truly believe God looks upon the heart of man, and it is all about the reason one is being baptized, or anything for that matter.

To God be the Glory.:)

That's it, when your heart surrenders, when you get to a point ur tired of running, when i got saved i hadn't been in church in many years, i was flat of my back in the bed and i said God im done, do whatever you want with me im yours.
Theres no prayer or water that's gonna save you, salvation takes place when man surrenders to God and let's him take charge.

This is sort of the point, there's lots of name's used to describe the son of God, it's not making sure we quoted the right one that matters its surrendering your life to him and letting him have control. God's not gonna be sitting on the thrown saying "gotcha" u didn't say it right. Once you get past the worldly, im in control by my works type thinking only then can you begin to have unspeakable holy ghost filling. Some think its what they do that invites the holy ghost but its not. Its what you dont do, its sort of like falling from the sky, you flap your arms and do everything trying to save yourself no one can reach you, then you finally realize its hopeless and you have no power and just stop and allow him to take over, thats when you see with spiritual eyes instead of your fleshy eyes.

I don't wont anyone to read anything I write and think im trying to say someone in certain denominations aren't saved, thats not it at all. The thing that does worry me is the denominations teach things that's gonna greatly hinder some from being saved because they're pointing down the wrong road. Just as the parable of wheat and tares, they will all grow together until the harvest and then the day of separation will take place. No matter what church you attend you need to have the peace of your salvation and if you dont "pray" and ask God to lead you.
