This lady shouldn't be allowed to be a bus driver. I've never seen any of those children sitting while the bus was in motion. There's a four way by my house & I've witnessed her slamming on the brakes and children flying up to the front of the bus. I've made several complaints myself to the director of transportation regarding this matter only to find out I wasn't alone. Several other parents have filed complaints to. I was allowed to walk on the bus only to see if the rumors were true. It was VERY unsanitary!!! I literally had to kick & shuffle stuff out from under my feet to make it pass the first couple of seats. The floors were covered in trash, food, pencils. The seats were nasty with gum & god knows w/e else was on them. I'm very surprised nothing has been done about this. It's ridiculous!!

The arrogance and indifference by the bus drivers for the Corinth School District are rampant. Because they are school district employees, ie government employees, they can act like tyrants and drive anyway they wish with impunity with little to no worry about losing their jobs. Employees at the bus garage use the trucks like they were their own vehicles and even take them to get "nooners" while using tax appropriated vehicles and on the clock. The drivers can treat the kids with little worry from repercussions because their statements are only refuted by children. There have been several incidents where the bus drivers have ignored problems or arrogantly confronted parents that have expressed their concerns to them. The bus drivers and employees are just a microcasm of the government and "supposedly public service" people that infest our "entitled" public service system.

Fire the ones that think and act like they can do anything they want on the taxpayer's dime and hire some people that work for the public and understand they are beholding to the taxpayer, not the other way around. Reagan showed the country how to deal with little government tyrants with the ATC strike. While he was in charge, government employees realized they work for the public, not the other way around.

Try following around bus 145 in the county bus driver takes off while children are still trying to get on bus and the door is still open and he has been caught several times talking on his phone and almost flipped the bus in a ditch a few weeks ago makes any parent feel awful about making their children go to school we have one car that has to be used for my spouse to go to work or I would drive my kid to school the super needs to follow him around without him knowing to see the speeding and regulations being broken

zigzag...I agaree with you! It sounds to me like the kids are the ones with the problem, not the bus driver. All kids that ride the bus are old enough to know not to trash the bus. They are also old enough to know to sit down in their seat. It sounds to me like the parent(s) need to be mad at the kids instead of the bus driver. I can't figure out why parents blame everyone except for the kids. That is what is wrong with our education system also. Parents need to go back to punishing their kids for misbehaving rather than placing the blame on everyone else. It is not the teachers, bus driver, or principals fault. MAKE YOUR KIDS BEHAVE AT HOME. DISCIPLINE STARTS AT HOME!!!!!!

My son was bullied on the bus last year. He came in one day with a bloody nose. When I asked if he told the bus driver he said yes mommy but he said I'd be ok & he'd get onto them tomorrow. I was furious I wasn't told by the bus driver, one b/c my son was the last person off the bus & the first person on the bus. I ALWAYS stood outside waiting for the bus with him. Time could of been made, even if it was to be just a note passed on to me. I had to write a note to the teacher trying to figure out who this child was. When it finally came up I had to go to the school board. Turns out it was a 8th grader whom punched my KINDERGARDNER. It was never brought to my attention before that elementary, middle & high school students ride the same bus. That isn't the bus drivers fault but as the director put it, it's the schools "lack of funding". They don't have an appropriate number of buses to keep the elementary students separate from the others. I think that is just plum crazy. If highschoolers were suppose to be around KINDERGARDNERS or even middle schoolers then the schools wouldn't be separated by grades. Like k-4 at one location 5-8 at another & so on.

. Not glad but interesting to see I'm not the only one who sees the wrong done by the bus driver. I'm not sure the exact laws on how long their suppose to wait until taking off but I do know no matter the weather or if the child's in sight they are suppose to come to a complete stop & open the doors and then if the child isn't in route to get on the bus they can drive off. I've watched this lady not even tap her breaks and a child be in full sprint in the middle of the driveway and her just speed off down the rode.

It shouldn't matter what age rides together!
If your son had his nose busted by an 8 th grader, and he was in kindergarden, then the bus driver should've told you, and told the parents of 8th grader, and the school.

Even if your son was being a brat, there is no excuse for that.

When I was in kindergarden, I was bullied by a high school boy who turned his class ring backwards and poped me on top of the head. It hurt like hell and I screamed out and started crying , when these 2 high school girls began to beat scratch slap kick and punch the ever loving Hell out of the guy!

Funny, but he never screwed with me again.

Kids now don't give a dam about anyrhing but themselves, and won't jump in and do the right thing, becouse in todays world, those 2 girls would've got in trouble, instead of being thanked like they should've been.

You just need another 8th grader to teach him, hitting a little kindergardener is never ok!
Best of luck to you!

I call BS on this one. I know for a fact (as I was "embarassed" in a meeting once in which the DRVER's version of events wound up being the truth) that the city buses ( dont know about the county) have high resolution cameras on EVERY bus. If your lil darlin' was truly done wrong by this public servant then there is a high quality video AND audio recording available as they keep them on record for a couple of years. Now which is more likely...that this driver is getting away with multiple offenses ON CAMERA or you have a personal grudge? Have a blessed day.

Some of your personal opinions is irrelevant. How about you stick to one point & try and make that valid. You must be a bus driver yourself, huh!? There is ONE camera on MOST buses which only shoots straight down the isle & captures the backside/ some of the side profile of the driver. The tapes are reused & recorded over daily unless an incident occurs & the director of transportation decides to pull them. I know this b/c the day my child was bullied I wasn't able to find out till the next day which was useless. I never said my child was perfect & the driver was always wrong but in cases where the driver fails to stop or doesn't wait for the child to be seated it isn't the child's fault. Why don't you go find another thread to try & be a c*nt on and quit targeting parents & children. There's one thing you obviously don't know about a mother & that's don't mess with her child. I'm assuming the sole purpose of this thread was to air out about bad bus driver/driverS letting the parents vent & talk about it. NOT for someone like you to reality check someone's "little darlin".

And there we have it. Todays social bafoons only want to complain. When evidence of their false accusations surface their first and only response is vitrol and verbal assaults. Nice language. And by the way, a lack of reality checks is what fuels ignorance in society. Oh, reality check, EVERY bus at corinth has a high definition camera and mic system as they were installed within the past year at a great expense. How about you stop hatin' and get a life. Have a blessed day.

And calling someone a Bafoon is any better!?! How are you going to reality check someone's child. Your the idiot. Have fun being a bus driver the rest of your life & talking about stuff you think you know everything about! 👍
