Notre Dame is pretty much a lock since USC announced matt barkley is out but bama still must face a stingy Georgia team with a lot to loose and one of the best run defense in the SEC

your a littlt ahead of yourself, bama has to get past georgia first, im a bama fan, i think they will beat georgia but it will take them 60 min to do it, as far as notre dame goes, that shouldnt take very long, good luck!!!!

Auburn is going all out to try and beat Alabama in the Iron Bowl. Auburn might not be able to beat the Tide but I can tell you one thing I have learned about football. A team like Auburn who hasn't won a game in the SEC all year is dangerous. They have nothing to lose. Auburn needs to come into the game loose and ready to have fun. They can beat Alabama if they will fight & not give up. Alabama Could be hurt if they lose. Georgia I can assure you will not lay down in the SEC Championship game. Alabama has been exposed and CAN be beaten. Texas A&M proved that a week ago.

I think that there are potentially more huge shake ups left. ND could fold & lose to USC. The Irish have not been number one in 20 years & they know that this game is make or break. All year their motto was to prove they were better than the media said they were. Now the media says #1. Tide could very well lose to Auburn. Bama is best on paper, but the Iron bowl is played on grass. Bama see's they got a second chance & they could very well play to not lose instead of playing to win, that'll get you beat. If GT gets the option going early, GA is in trouble. GT is 10 and 1 over the past 3 seasons when two or more backs rush for over 100 yards. That gives us Florida. They have Florida St & the noles have a very good team. They could very easily spank Florida. Back to the Ducks at 6. They are exposed now. They can not sustain a drive if their backs have to run between the tackles so, opposition loads up on the perimeter & "the duck could be f**ked". I do not think all or any of this will happen, but it could. Would that not be a wild ride??

I am intrigued by the ND/Bama matchup. Two of the richest history schools playing for it all! Plus, Alabama trying to go up by 2 championships on ND, or ND tying it back up. Think about famous coaches and you think of The Bear, Rockne, Stallings, Leahy, Parseghain, Holtz. There will have to be a lot of specials to cover all of the history of these schools. I have been to Tuscaloosa to games many times and each time I go, I get chill bumps just thinking of the rich history surrounding the program. I have never been to Notre Dame, but from all I have heard, they make a conscious effort to keep everything related to the stadium like it was when Rockne built it. Heck, the Domers call the stadium "the house that Rock built". Another awesome thing about this matchup is, both schools have enjoyed success & both have fallen on meek times. Bama has already risen, but it was not that many years ago that they were beaten by mid majors. When they got the right coach, at the right time, they clawed their way back to the top. Not by buying players. Not by having stripper parties for recruits. Saban built quality depth. ND has been deemed irrelevant. They were done. They can't get the players to compete with the academic standards they have. Then, they got the right coach at the right time. Two schools that were on top, each fallen down, both clawing their way back. The best part, they both did it the right way. Tell me this isn't like a movie script!

I think it will be a great matchup. Bama is a force. ND has just scraped by. Here is a little stat that is an eye opener. ND has faced some pretty good rushing offenses. I know, some of you do t think any school outside the SEC is capable of doing anything, but watch on draft day and you will see some rb's go for schools outside the SEC. On drive's that have started on their on 40 yard line or worse (that is a sixty plus yard drive), ND has given up 1 TD in 107 attempts. Now, Bama will test that for sure, but ND's defense is built like an elite SEC defense. Also, I think the QB's are pretty similar with Golson getting the edge because of his athleticism. RB's, Bama has the edge. OL is a wash. Front seven ND A slight edge. Secondary, Bama. Special teams is a wash. So, I see a pretty even game and as soon as I can lay money on it and I get 10 points, I will take the dog. Neither team is 11 points better.

NOW IF BAMA AND ND WILL JUST FOCUS AND TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS, I think we will get the best National Championship game in recent history. Roll damn Tide and Roll damn Irish!!!

it's already been reported Matt Barkley is not going to play against Notre Dame. He injured his shoulder against UCLA.
