Glad to see the Alliance doing something for City of Corinth. He's doing nothing for Alcorn County. But yet the Alliance received 280,000.00 each year from County for what??????????

Do you mean that county residents won't be allowed to work or eat at Cracker Barrel? I am so disappointed. I was really looking forward to eating there, and some of my county neighbors were hoping they might get a job there.

Glad to see Buzz Plaxico was chosen for the dirt work after they originally picked Buddy Ayers. Wonder what was the deal breaker?

Gary and the alliance basically had nothing to do with them locating here. They are happy to take credit for it though. I'd be happy if he was fired and all the elitist board members were sacked. Just get rid of the alliance all together. What a waste.

He had about as much to do with it as the mayor. LOL.
Newsflash- More often than not geniuses, restaurants/retail choose communities without assistance from locals. It happens in cities all across the country. Get over yourselves.

I was told that the cracker barrel spokesperson personally thanked the mayor for requesting that they consider Corinth and working with them to make it a reality. If thats the case, the mayor and city board had a lot more to do with them coming here than the alliance. 190 jobs is nothing to sneeze at but I'm hoping the alliance steps it up and trumps this one with some industry that will further help Corinth's economy. Consider yourself challenged Mr. Chandler.

I want to tell the Alliance along with the Mayor , Board of Aldermen and Board of Supervisors to get off their rear ends and get to work on getting some Real Industry in this County, they have sit back while every District in this State has landed big Industries that employed hundreds and thousands of employee's and at the same time getting other spin off industries from that. Did everyone hear all the big talk put out about all of the Spin off industry that Corinth and other Cities would get when the State used our tax dollars to help the so called Golden Triangle get the new Toyota Plant just down the road from Tupelo. Now just how many of these great spin off Plants did Alcorn County get for our Tax Dollars that was sent to Lee County and Union County? The answer is what we have always gotten which is 0. Our Tax Dollars have been used in all Districts in this State to help get Big Industries including Auto industries , Gaming, Steel, Aviation and others all over this State by our Elected Officials. During this time this Northeast Corner along with Corinth and Alcorn County being left sitting here dying and nothing to show for their Tax Dollars. They can't even get 72 Hwy Finished to the Tennessee Line a Project started 26 years ago. All I seen our State elected officials do is to have their Picture's Taken with a Civic Organization, in front of new Hamburger Joint and Laundry or in front of anything that they can get free money for from this Dirty broken down Federal Government. That has nothing to do with creating Full Time Permanent Jobs... We're being ripoff and left out in the cold when it comes to getting help from this State. The Alliance needs shut Down they have done nothing in help saving our Community from the decay it's in now, neither has our elected State Officals . Wake up people Walnut got something this week that this Town hasn't seen in 25 years, and look at all the money poured into improving our Hospital, Water System, Schools and other infrastructure that was suppose to land us new Industry not Hamburger Joints. What did Walnut spend? Looks like Corinth has gotten nothing from all this spending locally to make more desirable location for a New Industry.

Sounds like the next election might be all about jobs. If that's the case City/County/State officials might be in trouble. The Alliance is a joke. Anyone know how much money they get from the City/County? Anyone ever see any stats on the return we are getting from that organization? I'm sure it's shocking. Your Mayor,Board and Supervisors should be held accountable.

Last time I checked Hwy 72 West goes to the Tennessee State Line and the Fourlaning of it, never was completed and it's been there waiting for the past 26 years to be completed. LOL! Brains.

So let's see. Mr. Chandler has been with the Alliance now for around 5 years? So $280,000 x 5 = 1.4mill in money received from city/county in the last 5 years? And still no jobs. Hummmmm and we keep funding this why? Yeah elected officials are in trouble. Waste of tax money.

1.4 million in 5 years and still no jobs and blind hog should have found acorns in that length of time. What is the Director doing? Why have the Supervisors not put a stop to this waste? Why do they keep paying him? It clear he cant do the job. And what does the rest of that bunch at the Alliance do besides draw a salary?

I tell you that Buzz Plaxico and his crew really got er done! I'm sure that's why he got the job. They hauled a bunch of dirt fast. No wonder no one wants to use that loser Buddy Ayres . Hea a joke just look how he ripped the hospital off too. Even Pitmann Construction can't hold the light with Buzz. He gets in and gets done fast and its not a mudhole! Hooray for him !

The latest news is that they decided they were going to keep the Duck Dynasty crap because they like small numbers of poor illiterate people more than they like being a profitable business.

Go on, Google it.
