pretty ironic that she is never on time for anything. she doesnt get to work now on time!!!! I think she should lead by example and do the same that she is asking her employees!! I heard over fifty thousand, just saying?? good question for the board

she is one and done superintendant! Teachers have to work nights at home and ballgames for nothng! Not to mention they now have to punchout to go to lunch but are required to watch kids while they are punched out! This may be the biggest waste of 55,000 bucks ever!

heard that she's making the administrators sign in as well while she tip toes in around 10 am, not sure it's all her fault here, board members need to hear these opinions, you can be sure i've called mine!!!!

Apparently none of you was at the board meeting last night. The whole system cost less then 10k and is becoming the standard state wide.

Publish the purchase in the news paper, and make every employee of the district use it, including the supt of Ed, the highest paid and the leader!! Just makes sense!!

let sassy speak a little. So $55,000 is a lot of money to blow to keep employes like miss Sue S from leaving when ever she pleases and getting paid for it?? What about ALL the cell phones mr ex bought all his friends, girlfriends, and family just because it was free??? I can go on and on!! I wonder how much the school can save now that employes like (SS) can't just go and come as they please (thinking they are still in control)?? What about ALL the gas that was wasted for friends and family? I bet if you figure that up for a year it will be way over $55,000

Are the teachers paid by the hour? If they are salary which I have always just assumed they were- how does this save money?

Well teachers are allowed to miss so many days just like any other work place. When a person is getting paid salary. That does not mean they can just go and come when they please or get somebody to punch them out or in because they are going to be late. Now lets break this down. If a teacher is getting paid for every day but is only there twice a week because she goes and comes so much that she might be lucky to work a 16 hours a week but getting paid for 40.. Can you not figure that out and where the school might be losing money?

I know its got to be HELL to be in control for 4 long years and one day open your eyes and EVERYBODY hates you, talks about you and YOU have no power, say so and just another fly on a pile of bat dong! Just remember queen. Most people are not forgiving nor do they ever forget what you use to do to them and how you treated them. I think we should name the clock SS so every morning that people had to touch it. It can remind them of why its there

An educator is considered a professional and as such should be treated as such. Punching a time clock is not professional by no means. If teachers are being un-professional they should be dealt with on an individual basis. Teachers should check to see what is required that they be given for a lunch break and other breaks during their work day. This time should be given when they are not having to supervise children. See if their personal rights are being meet and if not demand that they are.

Well I would say the time clock is an extra soft warning to everybody and not just calling a few on the red carpet. The so called 2 year little certificate teacher could have been fired a long time ago and should have but out superintendent had a very caring soft heart. It's mostly her but not all her. I agree with the teachers should be acting professional but one just refuses to grow up and be a old woman that her age proves her to be. With those that stomp their feet and act like a baby causes every one to be inconvenient. After dropping to the child's level to get a teacher that acts like a child to understand. If that does not help them understand then the next will be the hard ball and not for everybody. Just SS. She best go where her cheating hubby is at before she gets blacked balled like he did folks and can't work anywhere. 1 bad apple spoils the whole bunch!

are they going to start paying overtime for taking up money at ballgames? What about when I gradepapers until midnight? Can I go back to school and punch in? What about coaching? I should be able to punch in to go to games. The reason teachers have been able to come and go is because our work never ends at 3:30! It is law that if you workmore than 40 you can be required to pay overtime! This may end up costing mega bucks in the end!

PS DId she not say the installation costs 10 grand? what about the equipment coast?

ohhh, it sounds like you are like a lot of other teachers that play that crazy game!!!! I think its called, "awe, aint it awful"!!!! you probably sit in the lounge and play the blame game, this is the best thing that ever happened to the district, now you'll be on time!!! we finally have a supt that is in the office on TIME and has to do everything because no one else can do it right!!!!

Punching a time clock is not professional? I beg your pardon, folks with higher degrees and that make a lot more money than you punch a time clock every day.

Absolutely there are plenty of professional people that punch a time clock that have a lot more education than a lot of teachers that I know. This time clock situation is only bad for those already breaking the rules. I do not work in this county even though my kids go to school in the Alcorn School District. Apparently most of you only wanted the district to be cleaned up if it didn't affect your playground. I believe Mrs. Smith is definetly trying to improve this district and be a good steward of the taxpayer's money. If you haven' gotten your property tax bill yet, just wait. School taxes have not been raised since she went into office. However, my taxes were over $1,900 and $900 of that went to the school tax and this was all done from the previous superintendent asking for a tax increase every year to cover all of his administraion costs. The school district went from successful to high performing in one school year. Obviously the district is getting better and becoming more financially sound. What more do you expect after only one year in office? Smith had to clean up many messes that were swept under the rug and not handled because of political favortism. The time clock should not be a problem for anybody that is abiding by the rules and not trying to cheat their employer, the children of this district and the taxpayers.
