I'm sick of the same people running the Daily Corinthian always talking about the Corinth athletics. There are other schools with sports too ya know! For example, I went to Kossuth's game vs Baldwyn on the 20th, and I saw H. Lee Smith II. If you read Saturday sports in football season, he is always covering Corinth. He looked like he didn't want to be at Kossuth. I've known him for about 10 years, never had a problem with him. However, I think he and DC should definitely pay more attention to Kossuth. Now for Central. I never once hear anything about them other than the box score on left of "Sideline Saturdays". That MUST change!! Biggersville..yeah their treated just like Central!! This has GOT TO STOP!

Read the Tupelo Daily Journal. The Corinthian is hopeless.

You should read the Daily Kossuthian, it is LITERALLY better than the Daily Corinthian. If you will notice, I used that word properly, unlike the scumbags that post on this miserable sewage pit of a web site.

We're running a special tonight on fried chicken skin sandwiches. I bet my real friends that you people would devour the hell out of it and then ask for 13 or 14 more of them with extra ranch dressing. I said you'd just keep eating until you got to the belching phase, where the air and the food are competing for space in your horrible ruined black stomachs. You will belch in between bites to expunge the air in your gut to exchange with an incoming mass of barely chewed deep fried chicken skin. Ugh, come on down to Ted's and buy these disgusting things and get them the hell out of my restaurant. I hate looking at them. I am going to vomit.

I guess thats why it is called the Daily CORINTHian! Plus you could put those schools all together and they can't beat Corinth.

Well the county schools should be put together and all the sport teams would be hard to beat. There is so much talent out there and we never go anywhere and whip tail.

Bad part is they don't even cover Corinth like a real paper. When this paper was sold to a bunch of yankees I dropped it. Lee Smith sucks! It is without a doubt the worst paper I have ever tryed to read. Talked to a retired carrier and he said his route went from 135 to 80 subscribers. Lee Smith once wrote an article about how slow sports were "this time of year" and there was 250 kids playing ball at the Y and city park and he was to lazy to go do a report on it. If it's not on the ap wire it's not printed. In the last 5 years it's always the same start out like they may have reports and then goes to crap as always. Years ago Chris Burrows was sports editor and he made every game on friday and had pictures from all of them.

I disagree. Kossuth is evidently the school of choice and has been for years. All the sports pictures and articles cover Kossuth. They have even started picking up Biggersville some too. Corinth and Central are left behind. However, Corinth does get better coverage than Central. The biggest kicker is that we may not know what is going on with any of our Alcorn County teams but we sure know how McNairy Central and Booneville are doing. Every time I pick up a newspaper, I can find out what is going on in Booneville at any given time. If you need proof, just look at the special insert in Saturday's paper - everyone featured in the magazine was from Booneville but one!!! Wake up DC. Selmer has a newspaper and so does Booneville. Let them cover their own sports and news.

Corinth or Kossuth sports has an article and picture just about everyday. Kossuth won 1 ballgame and they get a article and picture in Saturday's paper and then almost a full page of pictures in the Sunday;s paper. where was Biggersville's coverage, they are 2-0 I haven't seen anything aboout them in the Daily Disappointment. My child attends Alcorn Central and about the only time anything is in the paper on them is when they have lost. Same as for ou local radio station. Only time we get coverage is if we play Corinth or Kossuth,Biggersville and Central are getting broadcast when they play each other. I gusess Corinth must be traveling too far away this time .because the radil station even covers Corinth's away games and of course Kossuth has their own "Aggie" radio.

u could put all of our schools together and not have the conviction record of some of the atheletes on the mighty warriors the only time u see anything about the great ones is on the arrest page most of them couldnt say shit with a mouthful of it much less spell it just sayin and if they get suspended its for the first part of the week so they dont miss the football game and then they pick up where they left off on monday

Lets talk football. Lets talk Central Middle School, Corinth Middle School, Biggersville M. School, Kossuth M. School, and whats going on. They don't make the paper, the coaches put same ones in every time. No pictures, No awarness of who is playing, peer pressure is hard on kids at this age. Your coaches from all schools should be letting them rotate to play. One boy did not play at all in his first game at one school another dad told me , second game he played not even a min. Another boy from another middle school played very little first game, and played none this last game. Its all in who the parents are, not letting the team be a team, just as it always has been when I played. Give all the boys a chance to play and hey give credit in the Daily corinthian to the ones that did play. Let all the middle school boys play , get some experience, stop favoritism.

be glad you are a complete dumbass. Have you been to any middle school football games or are you just listening to some "Dad Coach" that has tunnel vision and can only see his son? Middle school sports is not the "Sportsplex". Get a life, dumbass.

PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!!! The county schools spend what little money they get on school stuff books, supplies, etc. CHS spends a portion of their money on recruiting outside of the city, top notch trainers, and oh yes coin operated steroid dispensers for the hallways. If the playin field were leveled and even. CORINTH wouldn't be shit!!!! OH and yes My son does play for Central. He just doesn't run as fast as the Corinth boys. Thats because he stays out of trouble and has no practice running from the cops!!!!!!

I thought your remark was rude. You must be "a dad that kisses butt to coaches so your son plays." While growing up around the Y, I saw many coaches that never let some play cause it was all about winning. The youngesters that did not play were taunted by the ones that did. Sportsplex had good coaches and bad back in the day. I for one would like to see more young men play instead of sitting on a bench even if they are a senior in high school ball. Nobody has tunnel vision but you know maybe it would help if people like you probably that want your son to be a prep, the star, make you shine. I am about letting the ones that need to feel apart of the team play as well. When you are so far ahead and winning what does it hurt to put someone in to play for more than a sec? This is really bad at Corinth, and Central. So, get some team spirit man and let up. Let some others have fun as well.

I am all for everyone getting to play in 7th grade sports. Once you start getting into 8th grade it is time to decide if you can play sports on the team or if you need to go to the band. I believe it is important to feel a part of a team but if you can't play---you can't play. When you are far ahead let others on the team play. I am all for that. I am not for playing kids just to "make them feel a part of the team". That is what the "Y" is for. If winning is not important to you then you might want to go to Central. With their win-loss record in sports they are all about making one "feel a part of the team". Face it if a child is not good enough to play tell them to work harder and quit whinning to parents like you.

Whinning , well havent had one to whine to me. I was stating my opinion thats all. You do however remind me of a coach many years ago at the old Y, think he even played a hand in his son playing at Ole Miss. Paid a price I think, called a favor in, years ago. boy could not hang. Back to the matter at hand. Everyone should feel part of a team no matter. Like I said, when you are that far ahead what does it matter to put others in to play.
