This is another case of injustice, the judge that signed this bond should be fired. This man wasn't even at home when his dogs got out. This city is the worst fucking city in the south. The criminal justice system is trying to railroad all of these young black males. Not a year ago a man kills another man over a parking space and gets a $500,000 bond. Not six months ago a man kills his wife shot her down move her body and then take the police to the body he gets a $150,000 bond what kind of injustice is this. I really don't understand the logic in the thinking of the people who's making decisions downtown, this is unreal.

I realize that pit bulls have a bad rep for their attacking other dogs as well as humans. But I believe this is a bit much, a half million dollars when people who commite horrific crimes like murder, rape, molestation and sometimes they do these things to their own children. Come on somebody get real. I feel for the lady who was attacked, also her son's dog. How would she feel if the shoe was on the other foot. The owner of these animals should be more careful with his dogs and make sure they are confined to the point they can't get out. Sorry I don't agree with the judge. I guess he is trying to make a statement.

All pit bull owners should probably be in jail. No reason to have these dogs around. They are only good for one thing. People are too irresponsible to have these animals. I hope the judge makes an example of this joker and throws him in jail for a long time as a warning to other irresponsible dog owners. Same deal for irresponsible gun owners, no mercy. People can force changes to laws if they want to. Write your congresspeople and tell them you want all pit bulls and other dangerous breeds outlawed in your cities and states. It can be done.

The first words out of these loosers mouths is either a. he never did that before or b. he must have been provoked or c. someone broke into the garage that housed my dogs or some such absolute lie. Always, people don't accept responsibility for their actions anymore. So State has to step in and force them to. Sure hope this guy spends a lot of time behind bars.

This Robinson guy is always in trouble....he is the reason those
Pitbulls got out and tried to destroy the Lady and her dog...because this loser Robinson is one (1) of many that live in
Memphis and have pitbulls and use them to fight....I live in De-Soto County and follow the news cause I love animals and I volunteer for rescue on occasion....He Robinson should go to JAIL
for many years 5 at least cause he trained his dogs to be mean
and fight to kill....5 yrs. in Jail,$5,000 bond and NEVER/NEVER
BE ABLE TO OWN A DOG AGAIN AND CERTAINLY NOT A PITBULL...because
of his uncaring, ignorant way of not taking care of the dogs they
will probably be put to sleep....the one that should be put to
sleep is that LOSER ROBINSON!!!

In Response to The Truth. It's all about race isn't it. If this was you or your family that had been attacked, I believe you would feel much differently. The parking lot deal, the man killing his wife, have absolutely nothing to do with this CRIME. If you own dogs, you are fully responsible for their actions; good, bad, or indifferent. The bond was set high not because he was black but because this has happened before. I am so tired of everyone placing the world's problems on race - it's getting rediculous.

It doesn't matter what any other judge does. It matters what this judge does and he did the right thing. These scum have a history of terrorizing their neighbors and deserve to be behind bars. Quit being such a wimp. This is what is wrong with America today, nobody wants to be responsible for their actions and nobody wants to draw the line in the sand and stand up for what's right. Sorry, you wrong my man. Wait until it happens to your mother, see how you feel then or your daughter...quit being a wimp, stand up for what's right.

I think that bond is way to high! but dog owners need to be more careful with their dogs and make sure they can not get out,If that had been a child it could have been worse.that happened to my husband, and get this he went to jail not the dog owner! but of course thats Dyersburg finest! Pitbulls are not the problem, its the owners who raise a dog to be what it is.they can make great pets.

It is simple, secure your dogs properly and this wouldn't happen. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.Blaming someone for letting the dogs out is a lame excuse.I don't pity people that have these kind of dogs and not securing them.

You are too funny man, anytime a "young black man" does something wrong and gets caught I'll bet this is your response. It doesn't matter what some other judge does it matters what this judge does. And he did the right thing. These people have a history of terrorizing their neighborhood, get real. People have to stand up to these criminals. People like you who want to excuse behavior based on some ridiculous basis are ruining this country. Be a man and accept responsibility for your actions.

Hello dear, you are right in one respect it is the dog owner's responsibility. But since so many people are irresponsible, best to just banish the breed. They are not needed. Who need so own a pit bull? Own a small dog if you must own one. All dangerous breeds should be eliminated. Try to see the light dear.

Doggone, I have had a pit bull and he was one of the best dogs I have ever owned. I have two children and he never showed aggresion to them or anyone else. He was well trained and socialized with people and other animals. Dogs, cars, and guns can only harm others if they owned by irresponible owners.

You want to ban dangerous breeds, maybe you should broaden your education about other breeds beyond what the media wants you to believe. Educate yourself, do not let someone else educate you.

This is total injustice. The judge must have been asleep at the stern when he rendered this verdict.
This man does not deserve this kind of treatment.
Someone needs to find the person who turned his dogs loose and punish he or she. Have the owner pay the medical bills and let the man go. My gosh, the judges render lesser bonds to killers and molesters, rapist and all kind of nuts. If the woman or the dog she was walking instagated the attack, who will ever know. But a half million dollars bond is beyond reach for a common person to pay and the judge knows this. Only the wealthy could come up with this kind of money. Give the man a break.

to Doggone.
The most horrifying example of the lack of breed predictability is the October 2000 death of a 6-week-old baby, which was killed by her family's Pomeranian dog. The average weight of a Pomeranian is about 4 pounds, and they are not thought of as a dangerous breed. Note, however, that they were bred to be watchdogs! The baby's uncle left the infant and the dog on a bed while the uncle prepared her bottle in the kitchen. Upon his return, the dog was mauling the baby, who died shortly afterwards.("Baby Girl Killed by Family Dog," Los Angeles Times, Monday, October 9, 2000, Home Edition, Metro Section, Page B-5.)

maybe all dogs should be banned by your rules.

i think some people just feel like the law shouldn't get involved in such things and let the neighbors work it out. that is why we have so much trouble making ignorant people understand the difference between right and wrong.

He is probably using dogs for fighting or planning to!! No paper trail on his owning those dogs. Needs further investigation into this possibility

Yes a break would be nice...how about a 5 year break in jail. This guy is a derelict, face it. It is time to stop coddling criminals..hello!! This guy has terrorized his hood for a while now, time to make him stop. If you take the law into your own hands sometime YOU get arrested. Although street justice sometimes is appropriate and deserved, let the law handle it if you can. See my other comments...:)

How do you explain the neighbor that has made several calls to 911 over repeated instances like this one by those dogs? How do you explain the broken garage door? How do you explain the fact that this man has had prior issues regarding these dogs?

Whatever!!!! I applaud the judge's actions. The man needs to be responsible for his so-called pets!

I suppose if I looked I could find where a snail killed a baby too...get real goober. Pit bulls are bred to kill...that is what the breed is, killer. So see if you can find where a rabbit or sheep killed someone and let me know will you. I admit, if it were up to me the owners wouldn't be allowed to breed so that would take care of most of these issues eventually...

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Aquarius

Someone is being bombastic and overbearing, and you don't like it. You aren't prepared to take their behavior lying down, but standing up to them is likely to result in a rip-roaring row. Well, it seems that the row is almost inevitable, and perhaps that's just as well because it won't do you any good to swallow your anger or tolerate this person's boorishness for much longer.
