Marlborough mom, daughter charged with assault, break-in in Northborough

A mother and daughter from Marlborough were arrested early yesterday morning after breaking into a Northborough home and assaulting a woman they know, police said.

Sandra J. Moineau, 46, of 27 Beach St., Apt. 2, and Shannon Skinner, 27, of 58 East Dudley St., entered a John Edward Drive home through an unlocked garage door around 11:15 p.m., Sgt. Brian Griffin said.

The pair went into the basement where they assaulted a 25-year-old woman. Skinner hit the woman in the face and Moineau shoved her into a fish tank, Griffin said.

"This was not a random act of breaking and entering," Griffin said. "The parties have known each other for a number of years."

Moineau and Skinner left the home in separate cars, Griffin said.

Marlborough Police arrested the women a short time later at Skinner's home, Griffin said.

Both women were charged with armed burglary. Moineau was also charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, the fish tank. Skinner was also charged with assault and battery, police said.
