he is to be commended for his dedication and deserves the field being named after him, always stood by his troops, good job,it shows Lynn Camp is top notch in standing by him. my child loves to play sports and seldom wins,I stand by him to the end.

he needs to maybe they will get a good coach maybe someone that will let them all play might have a chance of doing something it's not all about the win but they all should get to play.

coach has not resigned,he's done more for that school than a lot of people know about. if it was'nt for coach mitchell their would be no lynn camp football program any one who knows the program knows thats true he should be allowed to coach as long as he wants no questions asked. he may not win always but he is a class act and his players respect him even when football season is over.camper alumni from the 70's

LOL show me a High School program that isn't about the win!! High School is not peewee sports. Varsity Ball can teach kids a lot about life. If you want play time then work for it. Hit the weights, speed train ect., instead of crying that you have no play time. Does whinning work in real life? nope! You have to work for what you want. I will agree that Varsity Ball does sometimes play favorites but that also teaches a valuable lesson about life cause life is def not fair & sometimes you have to prove yourself ten times over to achieve your goal.

David Mitchell was at Lynn Camp when I was there and now he is coaching my son. I'm a woman so of course I didn't play for him but he has always been awesome. My son has learned alot from him and since he has been on the football and track teams I have seen a big change in him. He is dedicated and seems to be more grown up every day. David really cares about each and every one of those kids and I for one am glad he's around. Lynn Camp wouldn't be Lynn Camp without him.

At some point in time any GOOD coach needs to have a few different plays and try to have a real quaterback. As long as one of his family members was at least listed as the starting quarterback he was happy. Everyone knows what to expect each year. just like a previous poster said they are fast and should be strong. RUN, RUN, RUN, that is all they do. When will they (he) learn that at some point in time you have to have a fair air attack. So, no he will not do anything this year or the next or the next. Look at his overall record. 40 years and nothing.

I would like to see how any other Coach would do if the two neighboring schools came in and "recruited" his best players.

Probably get after the school board to have a better curriculum and program to offer and actually force the players to get an education.
