Does anyone know the amount of food stamps for a family of four? And what the income limit is?

Please, my kind friend, get a job and dont even worry about food stamps. If you and your lazy ass spouse got off your lazy asses and quit asking for free handouts from every charity/organization this world would be a much better place. Now go to the mailbox, im sure your welfare is in the mail since it's the first of the month.

Wow...that was not very nice. Maybe this family is going through a rough spot, maybe a spouse lost their job, etc.....everyone has bad things to happen. Children must be fed, life must go on no matter what.

I hope you need to draw food stamps one day you idiot. That person may be out of a job or soon out of a job you don't know.

First of all, thanks for the information... I appreciate it. And second, I don't have a lazy spouse, just a dead beat ex husband who won't help support his kids. I do work, but don't make enough money to raise three kids by myself.

There isn't anything ungrateful about it. If people didn't need help feeding their family, they would jump through the hoops social services requires them to jump through in order to get the card to begin with.
I get burned up when I see the prices of things going up because I know it is going to mean more money from taxpayers to help keep food on the tables of the little ones.
If they are bitching about the prices, at least that means that they are trying to pay attention to what they are buying. Just maybe those customers of yours are the smart ones. Nobody wants to eat hot dogs, peanut butter and jelly, or mac-n-cheese everyday.
While you are thinking they have no right to bitch, have you considered that if they can't feed their kids a healthy diet, then the kids become sick, have to go to the doctor more often, and more tax money goes to medicaid?
Some folks don't have a clue how to shop- food card or not. You want to whine about someone, whine about the kid who gets tv dinners, soda pop, and candy bars EVERY day.
These folks are trying to feed their family on a little bit of nothing too. Cut 'em some slack.

it helps when you need. thats why working people should get it if they need it. I make to much money for a family of 2. So i cant get food stamps, daycare assistance, nothing. im a single mom that works everyday and I cant get help. kinda BS but whatever.

Absolutely Don't be ashamed. A family of four probably needs help these days. There isn't alot of jobs around here that can pay enough for food, car payments, insurance, house payment, utilities, GAS and household products. Our government put these things out there available to the society for a reason. Just because someone is recieving help doesn't mean they aren't working. And there should be NO shame in it either. Don't listen to the ppl that put you down. Misery loves company so don't give them a second thought. You can call your local food stamp office and they can give you what the limit is. It is very low, I know I am pregnant and living with JUST my fiance's income and we didn't qualify. I did get a medical card, but they said ppl that make 50-60 thousand a year qualify for that. I am thankful for it tho, there is no way I would come up with thousands to pay for a birth, just like EVERY citizen in Corbin that has had a baby. With an exception to a few I am sure. But no shame, you hold your head high and you get everything you can get out of the system. You need it, it's there for the one's that need it so you go and get it. Good Luck and God Bless.

Did you consider getting a JOB? Gasp!!! Or maybe your baby's father should pay for the hospital bills. Why the hel* should taxpayers pay for your child to be born?
