This is actually a GOOD thing. Now these poor men can collect money while they search for safer, healthier jobs. win/win. coal jobs are bad altogether. let these men and women collect unemployment checks while they find other work. coal kills. it may have kept the lights on, but that is the past. today's times call for cleaner and safer energy. stop killing your fathers and brothers by making them work in the mines. thank you.

uhhhh, buddy some people CHOSE to mine coal not because of the danger but the pride.... i dont give 30 shits if u say its a good thing, its just one more freedom you wont have under this administration.... its a good thing in your eyes, horrible for the local economy, horrible for your electric bill.... maybe your ability to prolong your worthless life on this planet will be extended by a fractional amount.. but i was raised outa a coal mine buddy, it gave me the best life you could ask for, now thanks to the "sensitive political" situation.... I CANT FOLLOW IN MY GRANDFATHERS< FATHERS> footsteps.... way i see it i was robbed of more freedoms, i voted for hilary she wouldnt put up with bullshit :)

Only in Kentucky will you find someone that WANTS to work in a coal mine, AND whose granddaddy is also their daddy.

Coal miners are a lost breed, THEY ACTUALLY WANT TO WORK! They want to make a good living to support their families unlike so many others out there waiting in a cheese line or getting unemployment never trying to get a job. Too many parasites out there and it's laughable that you idiots degrade the very things that causes you to have electricity or anything that you have involving technology. What do you think powers your internet service, cell phone service, etc? Get real people!

Wow, I didn't realize coal was the ONLY type of energy. And here I am with two wind turbines and 4 solar panels....and I haven't paid for electric in over a year. Guess I should be burning coal instead, my bad.

If you only knew what kind of money they collect vs. the money they worked for....

I guess not all of us have the luxury of living on the coastline soaking up the rays while mommy and daddy pay for everything, In our area the only option you have is coalmining or pipelining. Do yourself a favor and pick up a low-pay-ing high labor job and see how well your soft skin makes it. I promise you'll show a new appreciation to the ones that keep the country going.
Good luck

Coal mining has an effect on a lot if businesses other than the mines alone. I work for a company that supplies parts and service for the machines used to mine. We are close to a lay-off due to the slow coal industry and many coal businesses filing bankruptcy. A friend of mine has a printing shop. He he close to bankruptcy because he printed the mining tickets for Manalapan in Pineville. That was what kept his printing shop alive. People don't realize that coal fuels a lot of industries. Without coal SE KY will go broke!

Paid for "electric"? Don't you mean "electricity"? Of course you don't pay for electricity. You have been living with relatives since Tamara kicked you out of Saddlebrook.

You better fire your private investigator. Haven't crashed at relative's since last summer. Who are you, anyways? Are you afraid to say?

What would I need a private investigator for idiot boy? After all, YOU posted every detail of you life on Topix for everyone to read. As far as who I am, it's none of your business who I am. Dance little puppet, dance!

Hmmm, that's weird. I don't remember ever seeing anything about staying with relatives on topix. Guess you're stalking this man and his family.

You know where he worked, where he lived! who he stayed with ....and none of that was posted on this trashy site by the man himself. You're obviously following them around. Stalking is a felony, ya know.
