I understand all the points that you make. I was there to watch 76ers player. You do not address the issue that this particluar child only played 4:48 of the game, by the rules, this child MUST play a minimum of one quarter(6 minutes). This league has always been competitive, but for the first years of this league, coaches had to play kids from a playing schedule, meaning if you had 7 kids at game, you listed those kids 1-7 on roster, first 3 minutes you played 1-5, next 3 minutes you played 2-6 and so on. I guess this was to far and it kept coaches from playing kids equally. Instead, lets only allow some kids to play one quarter. That is pitiful!!
Again I quote you the rules please pay attention- The other team only had 6 players which means per the rules that their kids don't sit out a quarter or play a minimum and conversely our kids the say-per the rules. What is pitiful is that a grown adult who obviously doesn't know rules as much as they think gets on a gossip site and spews garbage anonymously instead of going to the league commissioner if you have a problem. Again I suggest that you consider coaching next year since their is always a need for informed talented coaches or look at the less competitive more compassionate leagues such as grace on the hill or upward. Thank you

Not bashing the church-didn't say an ill word just that they are less competitive-maybe you should try hooked on phonics to help with your lack of understanding "Charlie".

It doesn't matter what the rule states. Be real men. The child should get to play his whole quarter regardless of how many players the other team has. My child was the one who sat the bench when he was little for the coaches kids to play. He ended up being the only one on that team to play in high school. It's TCSA c'mon!

Wow! People can't figure out what is wrong in the world today, but yet we have parents that act like this. "This is a pay to play league blah blah friggin blah". Lets all teach out kids that being in the team is enough. Why should they have to work hard or apply themselves? We should teach them to take on the world half speed. That way when they are living in our basement with their pregnant girlfriend at the age of 30, at least we will know why. I mean really, why apply yourself to anything? Shouldn't it just be handed to you? Parents should only have to pay the sign up fees. There is no reason they should have to get off the couch and work with their kids to learn the game. I mean after all, the few hours the coach gets to work with them should be more than enough. I'm outraged that this league would expect parents or kids either one to put forth some effort. I say "how dare you TCSA". I think I will just tell my kids to stick with play station. That should get them far in life.

What they are teaching their kids are play for your daddy and you get to play! You never know if the other kids will be any good because no one wants to work with them!

Ok so you basically just confirmed what we where saying. That is that people need to get of the couch and work with their kids instead of going on topix crying about things. I'm glad you see our way. Thank you for your support.

I've been a coach for a long time I've coached little league football basketball baseball youth in all sports including girls basketball Im still coaching at a higher level and the one thing I can say is if you got you got it in sports and it don t take long to figure it out the longer you play. Now as far as dads coaching that great as far as I see if they did nt who would some of most of these dads do a good job and more than likely played the sport there coaching.now I know anybody that says they wouldn't favor there child if there coaching would not be telling the truth how would you deal with your child or wife at home if you didn't.you would nt . There is always room for improvement in any league but the time that these volunteers and league represents put in deserves the highest praise an regardless they are there for the kids but a line had to be drawn somewhere on playing time now it's going to happen that somebody is going to get overlooked its life but some of these comments are crazy and shameful do what one poster says if its that important to you that your child plays work with them at what game it is everyday take time yourself to make them better an let the coaches coach on game day if winning is not the point why do they keep score playing sports is like the game of life you win some you lose some but you still have to live and try and do it better TCSA thanks for having a league for the kids to play in an parents thbaks for letting your kids play have good day

Maybe do a little less coaching and get an education. You shouldn't get any credit for that comment since we have to put each sentence together ourselves. Wow

Not every kid has someone to work with them at home. Some of the greatest athletes in the world give credit to coaches from youth leagues. But most of you are there for your child and your child only. That's okay let them have their 15 minutes of fame in 1st grade and the kid who has to work the hardest because no one gave them a chance will have greater success down the road. My kids were never coached by a family member and it was the best thing that could have ever happened to them.
