This guy ruined my house. Told us he had insurance before we hired him, then after our house was ruined and cost us over $15,000 he refused to pay and didn't have any insurane at all!

No stupid, we did not get a damn dime from insurance. We had to take out loans to pay the damages. Must be nice to make fun of people.

strange how different folks can have such totally opposite experiences with the same guy..... jimmy and his crew re-did my roof last year and they did a great job at a very reasonable price. left the place neat and clean as a pin - didn't have to pick up a single thing. they even took away the scrap...... and you say they ruined your house?? i think maybe you just got something against jimmy or one of his workers and are on here trying to hurt their business - that's pretty low - trying to injure someone's livelihood.

What is lowdown is a contractor telling his clients they are insured in case they turn out a shoddy job when in fact they dont have a dimes worth of insurance and they also dont have enough decency to take care of the damage their shoddy work causes. Nothing but lies and excuses comes from their mouths when it happens.
Contractors like that shouldnt be allowed to do business. They are responsible for their actions and should be held accountable.

you relayed your experiences - i relayed mine - it doesn't make any sense to me that a contractor would do a great job one time and a really shoddy job another time - i guess it could happen but usually, if someone does a good job for one person, they don't change that much when they go on to the next one. just my experience.

As you are the ONLY person who has posted a positive experience, you must be a family member. That's pretty low of you, supporting someone who rips people off without and thought what so ever. Shame on you.

well, well, well......... it seems to be a normal method of showing disagreement here on london topix when an opposing opinion is put forth is to attack the person proffering that opposing opinion. i was wondering how long it would take for ya to start slinging accusations at someone who had the audacity to disagree with your all-knowing and all-important opinion and you did not disappoint. just for your information, no, i am not related in any way to jimmy felts. i had never even met the man before he came over to give me an estimate on my roofing job, and i have not see him since. if you can read, please re-read my above post - i have not even disagreed with you - simply told people my own experience with the man which happens to be 180 degrees from yours and that is that he & his crew did an excellent job for me at a very reasonable price. i would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Actually Keavy guy he did the roof on my house too and did a good job (as far as I know) and did a rent house, then he did another rent house which a family member lives in and that's the one he totally ruined. And yes he absolutely did and actually he has done it to other people. And he swore he had insurance, never again, I will require PROOF of insurance next time before anyone does anything for me.
so what

Proof of insuranse don't mean nothing. Some people you can't satisfy no matter what you do. They think they are so smart and always looking for a way to screw over somebody just trying to make a living and get by. Always wanting the best posible job done at the lowest price posible. Don't want to pay a good man for a good job!

WHATUP you called me on your rent house after that happened unless Im mistaken. Im pretty sure its across from cold hill school. I hope you kept the mold away. You sure had a lot of water in your attic and all across the front wall of that house.
While you were fixing that one I was fixing another one these same guys done on Hicks lane. That one was destroyed inside. They took the roof off then went to find shingles. It rained in the house for approx 6.5 hours. It looked like it was raining inside as hard as it was raining outside. Everything in the interior of that house was destroyed. Practically every piece of personal contents was destroyed too. That major scru-up cost over 100,000. These guys were working for another roofing company that actually did have liability insurance.
Jimmy Felts can do quality work. I have seen it for myself. Contractors are only as good as the subcontractor you put on the job.Obviously Jimmy made some bad choices about who he put in charge on some of these but that isnt an excuse for what has happened to the people that got less than the quality job they hoped for.
If any contractor works and takes payment they are liable whether they like it or not. IF they dont deliver what they promise go talk to your attorney. Have them go after houses trucks bank accounts. Whatever the contractor has in their name that has value. That usually stops the problem contractors dead in their tracks, Just like they should be.

My sister had him do our roof and he quoted them a price and my sister had the supplies brought from lowes and then he wrote up the contract. Well halfway through the job he called her up and said I'm gonna need more money. My sister said why and he said he'd need more supplies, she told him if you need more supplies I'll get them. He said no he needed to get them or he wouldn't finish the job.. She had to threaten to get a lawyer for him to finish her roof! He's a con artist and has been sued by numerous customers of his....I wonder if he ever heard his preacher preach on homesty if he's really going to church as you say?
