I went there for 4th and 5th grades a while back.

As far as first hand experience, it's definately the best education for the area. When I went to Corbin Middle School for 6th grade, a lot of the material covered was already taught at ST. C.

However, as far as the social aspect, you have to keep in mind your child can only attend there through 8th grade, and transitioning to different schools can be a hard time for a child, which I know first hand.

If i could go back and do it again, I definately would have preferred to just start out at Corbin schools to begin with.

As far as my recommendation goes though, Montesorri is the only real thing that school has going for them, most of the kids get enrolled in the public school systems afterwards.

Literally, Montessori makes up for about 3/4 of the schools population.

Great School However they only go up to the 6th grade I believe for this coming up year 2012-2013.
My children went when they where younger and believe me it made a difference. Good Luck if not Corbin City Schools are also great!

You could not pick a better school. St. C is by far the best in educational standards. The teachers care for the students and are concerned for their success, they are not there to make money, they are there because they love the children and want to ensure the success of the kids. Go for it! You won't regret it!

I have to disagree on the social aspect of attending St. C, i went through my soph. year when they closed the high school, then went to Corbin. I met and became friends with many more people than if I had attended only one school, and the education is great, much tougher but will prepare one better.

This school is not what it's suppose to be!! I'll just say this......the kids have so much homework at nite, makes you wonder what they do during school!!! Only the very rich are treated fairly!! From my experience ...I would never send my children there!! It's a money thing!! Always needing donations for something!! I heard they were asking the parents to do the mowing now!! I'm not surprised! The tuition is expensive!! You shouldn't have to keep giving and giving!!

I have no idea what it is like now, but i know some parents with children who attend and they love it. My experience was great, but that was a long time ago.

The parents that have done the mowing where paying off tuition. Currently they pay a man to do this get your facts straight
