I know Jeremy years ago and unless something has drastically changed about, he always seemed to be a great person. As long as they treated that baby right and everything checks out, they should have the charges dropped in exchange for some kind of alternate punishment/education. As for the "mother" that traded her own flesh and blood for a truck, she should be in serious trouble. Just my opinion.
They both are very good people. The baby was very very well taken care of with the Browns. And the person a couple posts up is correct. Jaimee was there when this little guy was born through everything and did treat him just like she had him. This is so terrible for this family. This is the only family this baby has ever known and now its gone from him. Granted he is only 6 months old, its still heart wrenching for them and their other children. To be honest with you this world needs more people like them who are willing to save a babies life from a drug addict.

I feel that jaimee jeremy should not do a day in jail from seeing these post the baby was well taken care of .the law should worry about how many kids they fail because parents on damn pills and other drugs and they dont step in and take the kids to let them have a good life i just hope and pray these two parents get out of the jail and wish the judge would hug there necks but put the mother so far under the jail cell she wont see day light.. sorry how i feel but if i seen a child hurt or abused heck ya i do the same thing just would go to law and id raise that child cause id fight to no end if the child didnt have a good family.

If it was done right and through the courts this would not have happen. By what I read these people are good people, but it does not mean they can just take a child in and not getting legal rights to the child. All the mother had to do was sign the child over to them through the court system. The courts would of checked them out for the protection of the child.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a mother who swapped her newborn baby for a vehicle, then sold the vehicle for $800.

According to Deputy Lt. Rodney Van Zant, the sheriff’s office got a word early Friday from a confidential source that led the deputies to search for an infant child who had been supposedly traded for a 1999 silver Dodge Dakota.

The biological mother took the Dodge and sold it for $800, and an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine, said Van Zant.

By using information about the vehicle, the owners were found.

“Asking about it they said,‘Yes we bought the truck for $800 and no methamphetamine.’ So they said they bought it from Heather Kaminskey,” he said.

Kaminskey is 30 years old. He added,“They said they hadn’t seen her in about a week-and-a-half and no meth was involved in the transaction. And they hadn’t seen her since then.”

The first owners of the truck, named Jeremy Brown, 31, and wife Jamie Brown, 33, were found, said Van Zant.

They live on Devil’s Neck Road off Adams Road near Corbin.

The sheriff’s department went to that home and found Jamie Brown, and her three sons,“plus the infant we were looking for, which is now 6 months old, born January 12. He was a boy,” he added.

The child is in good health, he said.

He said the Browns first said the baby was the product of an extra-marital affair between Jeremy and Heather Kaminskey.

“After speaking with Heather Kaminskey’s mother, who is in Florida, she told us that Heather had fled from Florida at nine months pregnant to come to Kentucky to have this child because the other two children had been removed by Florida social services and placed with other family members,” Van Zant said.

“So she came here without social services to take care of it,” he added.

Then, he said, the Browns wanted to change their story,“which was that they had acquired the child pretty much right from birth and had taken it in, and given Kaminskey the truck in trade.”

The Browns, he said, knew nothing of what Kaminskey had done with the truck.

Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) was called by the sheriff’s office.

CHFS found a judge who gave the order for the child’s removal.

The Browns placed their three children with other family members.

The Browns were arrested and taken to the Laurel County Corrections Center.

Arrest warrants were issued for both the Browns and Kaminskey.

Kaminskey also has warrants against her for meth precursor.

the reason they did not get the state involved was because the state would no way give them that child. they are way to nasty. and strange characters indeed. they did not need another child. they can't care for the ones they have got. they are all in some serious trouble.
Honestly I agree with you 100%

Poor Jeremy most likely didn't know any better, in his mind he probably didn't even think he was doing a thing wrong. He is a very sweet but slow person. Now as for Jaimee she is nothing more than a lying, nasty, stealing, sl7t, and she knew what she was doing was wrong. I feel bad for Jeremy for ever getting involved with her, he is like a big ole kid. I hope for his sake and his poor mommas sake that he gets out. Jaimee will love jail all the women she could ever want, she will be just fine in there, heck it would just be a vacation for her.

they were thinking about the child and the life it would have...they did the right thing but in the wrong way and the baby and their children are well taken care of...unless you know the whole truth dont judge people...they saved the baby from being passed here and there.when people are drugs do you think they know wat they are doing..where would the child be now...Jaimee and Jeremy are not bad people..once you really get to know them...wat would you of done have you people never made a wrong choice in ur life...and had to suffer for it...Jaimee and Jeremy loved that little boy very much..and we do too..he was so loveable..they gave him love and food and shelter..wat was the mother giving him.. NOTHING she didnt want him..give them a break for loving and caring so much. think wat u will but they do have a heart..they didnt mean it to be this way..they made wrong CHOICES..

Wrong is wrong and right is right. We have laws for a reason and there is a right and a wrong way to do something.

i guess that explains where the little boy came from that they would fail to tell people where they got him. they paid heather kaminsky a pickup truck for this child, they wouldnt of got in trouble if they had went about it the right way.

The child didn't need to live with someone (the mom) that didn't want him I understand why they done it and our Social Sevices sucks tail they are never for the child I know many that needed and still needs took from the mom that are still in the house they tell them when they are coming , who called and they clean house stops drugs long enough to pass test and keep the the kids from the family members that called and they are the ones(family members) that give them the love they need. I hope the law sees that that baby would probably been dead or n meth houses if it wasn't for the Browns they had the babys welfare in their hearts. God Bless those who protect children from harm

Heather wanted them to have the baby so they took him in and loved him as if he was their own, they showed him love and took very good care of him, and for people to treat them this way...Let's just say (what if) that was your daughter would'nt you want someone to be that loving and caring and take the baby in...i would and i have a daughter and to know that someone loved her baby and my grandchild so much to keep and save and give it a good loving home i would drop to my knees and THANK THE GOOD LORD ABOVE FOR THE PEOPLE WHO CARE SO MUCH.....how many babies die because of their parents being on drugs or drop off here their ..the Brown's gave the little baby boy a good home and yes i Pray to God that he will let them have him back...The good Lord up above knows they didnt mean to do wrong they were thinking of that little baby boy...4390

The Brown's are nasty and most of the time they don't even have a vehicle. Their best intrest would have been to be cleaner and better parents to their own.
