I can not possibly be the only parent having problems with this bus. I live 3 minutes away from the school yet it take my daughter over an hour to arrive home. Children are placed 3-4 per seat. Today 2 children sat in the floor, yesterday students stood up until the seats emptied for them to have a place to sit. Additionally, today the bus driver allowed oncoming traffic to pass through his opened stop sign while dropping my daughter off. Please, if you are also having problems could you share your experiences with me?

the bus stops here at 6:30 in the morning and drops kids off at 4:50. I can see why so many parents take their kids to school.

i have a child who rides this bus and gets home at around 3:05 which is good compared to last year getting home at 3:45. The buses have designated routes from what i am told and some kids are the unfortunate ones that get off late. The bus driver is a very good person and he would not let anything happen to the kids. Kids need to be taught by their parents how to act on a bus. I asked my child about how many kids were in each seat and it was 3 per seat, no kids in the floor. I have had my kids on other buses where the driver let them jump the seats and sit on the back of the seats; i called the transportation director several times but no changes were made. If you are unhappy call Josh Vannorstran at the board of education.

if you're not happy with the bus transportation, get your lazy a** up every morning & afternoon and transport them yourself!!! problem solved...

well, that wouldn't satisify you either, cause then you would just complain about all the traffic...there's 650 students, how do you expect the traffic to be???? really???

not for nothing...what do you think pays for the nice school buildings and teacher salaries, and other staff, and after programming and in-school programming, and most of high school athletics programming, and should I go on?? I'm just saying it's up to us as individuals to change whatever we are not satified with...

I don't know what you're trying to start, but some of this is simply not true. They aren't 3 to a seat and no one is forced to sit on the floor. My child rides that bus and has from day one. He is one of the first ones on and last ones off. I've not had any problems with this driver.

The driver for 44 (Jake) has been dropping my kids off for years. I've never had a problem with him at all. If my kids aren't outside waiting, he will wait for them as long as my door is open. He was the first one to notice that my youngest (in K last year) had not gotten on the bus one evening last year. Once we found out that he had gotten on the wrong bus, he met the other bus and got him and brought him home. People just want to say that he looks like a dumba$$ because they don't like the way he looks. If he were more clean-cut, they wouldn't have a problem.

Bus 39 does take a long time to get here this year, but only about 15 minutes more than bus 44. They have their routes and it takes so long to do these routes. That is the plain and simple of it. The first day of school I was upset because it took almost 2 hours, but that was because the kids weren't getting off when they were supposed to.

I agree with everyone else in the fact that if the bus drivers upset you so much, take your kids to school.

People, don't you think that the fact they're are driving buses should tell you something? I mean its like a garbage man, do you really expect them to have a PHD? Seriosuly, all of you act like you were expecting Einstein to be driving your children home, and you're really shocked when the bus drivers are possibly doing drugs or drinking? Really now, come on. If you want to fix the problem, pick your take and pick up your children to school yourself or shut up - or change schools!
And considering it would take a tank to destroy a school bus, I think everything will be fine.
if one of my childern fall out a window or get runned over ill own corbin and thr buses they have a reponsabilty of keeping theses kids in check when they are 1st and 2nd graders lol come on a monitor on the bus for small kids r needed....

Buses 39 and 54 are way overcrowded. That's why they take too long. I have called about this but the director of transportation says he will evaluate the situation. yea right. The bus routes need to be split between the buses that are near each other so that the kids even out.

I'm a teacher - my lazy ass as you put it - drops my child off in the mornings on my way to a classroom where I most likely have a child of yours in my room. In the afternoons she was on this bus to her grandmothers so that I could prepare for my next days lessons, attend faculty meetings, and do other activities so that I may provide other children with an education.
