this is so very sad, I hope they are found and are both safe. Do they think there was any foul play or something else. How awful.

god be with them and their family, they noted on the news that there was no foul play expected. they mentioned they also frequent florida but none of their personal items were taken. i just hope they find them and fast. i suppose they are both on needed daily medications.

Have they been found yet?

I'm not very familiar with dementia, but are people normally able to live alone and drive if they have dementia?

Dementia is the disease & usually it comes with and or after the onset of alhizmers which causes short term memory loss.

They can take care of themselfs at times & even drive but they tend to forget how to get back home, become angry & hostile, feelings of paranoia, irration, delusion, etc.
It can only progressively get worse & there is no cure.
Its a nasty ugly disease that is very hard to understand

They have just been found! Their family members and LCSD have just posted within the last hour or so they have been found safe and sound. A big thanks goes out to all those who helped and all those who prayed. I am very happy this had a good ending.

Praise the Lord! So glad they are safe. I'm sure their family realizes now that they need more help to be sure they remain safe. Good job to all who made this happy outcome happen!
