corbin recycling center

[fed up]

maybe some of you can answer some concerns. why do they pay gas to move that trailer every week? do they pay the newpaper to list it's location every week? why can't they bring in some inmates for help inside the center? why can't that trailer sit at the recycling center for after hours use? i am sick of trying to find it, and yes they now post it on the door at the center but once again waste of time and paper. all they need to do is leave it there, then we can find it.
everytime i go in there all of the guys are piled up in that office and one guy is working himself to death trying to help people. they have inmates riding around town in those trucks why not in the center. i think letting inmates ride around town and possibly getting into trouble is bad. they've had several inmates go back to jail and get locked down for bringing back drugs from there.
if someone could help me understand what to do or help me with these concerns

Why would anyone complain about that. I believe you are one of the boys that work there. Heck every manager needs a computer.

the trailer they move around each week is a good idea. they are always improving down there. I went green partly thanks to them

no i don't work there i am just a citizen that would like to continue improving our city. my point is if we could save a little more money by just keeping the trailer at the center then why not. i recycle and love having the center and trailer i just wish it would stay put. i would be very logical to leave it at the center for after hours use. and greg doesn't need a computer for any use at the center. he doesn't use it for any manager uses, just personal. every trasaction that needs to be done is 95% over the phone. business call in for pick ups, trucks that come and load the center's item are called. is there a website or e-mail for the center. i can't find one for use. so why give a computer to a center that doesn't need one. there is no printer there to use he goes over to city hall to print out the signs on the door. but yet we are paying for greg to use a personal computer at work.

well if the computer is not being used for business then the city needs to take it. second the center needs more help. i have a business and they pick ups are behind. so yes greg get off the computer and help your empoyees!!

i called wednesday and there were only two guys working and said that a pick up was not possible. were are the workers? and greg wasn't even there to talk to.

i am a manager at a local retail store and i have the same problem. i don't have the schedule to go to a town meeting so who can i contact?

doesn't sound dumb now. local businesses are compaining about the center. maybe they should drop off their items at the trailer if the center can't get it together. greg needs to get to work on these issues. he is the supervisor that is paid to address these issues.

I have a regular pickup on Tuesday---called recycling and the fellow that answered said he was the only one there....everyone else had called in.....where was Greg? Did he call in? Couldn't he run a truck and do pick ups if needed---you know --pick up the slack?

i've seen greg run the roads and it isn't picking up the slack. they really need to hire some dependable workers.

I bring in cans and the worst is that boy that fills in up front when regular guy is off sick the one that most of time is in the yellow truck

Saving money is not the issue here. You may be using it as an issue. Sounds to me if you have issues with Greg then take up with him. And you no a lot about what goes on down there not to be an employee there or some where around city hall.

i do have a problem with greg he is wasting money by not doing his job and working with the center. i use the center and i am glad it is there but why doesn't he pick up the slack and help his guys. i see other people complaining so i am not the only one with a problem here.

and i would complain to him but he is NEVER there. i went down there today and one of the workers said he's been out all week.
