Want to adopt a baby

London, KY

#1 Aug 31, 2008
I'm really wanting to adopt a baby, but not sure on the way to do it. I make a very good living and can provide a wonderful, caring, warm home for a child. Problem is I don't know of any adoption agency's around here or lawyers who specialize in such a thing.

I also have another question. If you find a women who is pregnant and doesn't want their baby can you legally offer to pay all of her medical bills and such in exchange for her baby? I heard from a friend of mine you could, but I'm not so sure.

Any advice or info would be helpful to us and be much appreciated

Wow....that was harsh. Maybe you should grow up and mature and realize that there are some people out there who physically can't have a child but want to be a parent. Obviously your parents didn't teach you any manners or maybe you just weren't born with a heart. You obviously don't have an IQ over 10 to be speaking like that or you would realize just how stupid you sound. Wait - let me explain that last sentence to you slowly so you can understand .....you are not smart!!! Go get yourself an education!!!

Shelly honey, you can't fix stupid. Obviously this person has had her child removed and someone who loved the child has tried to keep the child.

Yep you are probably right Just Me....can you believe the nerve of some people?

To Curious: I hope you find the child that is meant to be yours! And ignore all the stupidity of others like LiL BuG!! Talk about a waste of space that that person takes up!!

To the woman wanting to adopt, be very very careful offering to pay medical bills, etc, in exchange for a child. To begin with to state it this way is in essence offering to buy the child. Secondly if your offer got out, there would be many many women wanting you to give them money. Then after you gave them the money, there is nothing to prevent them from keeping the child. You cannot make them giveup the child.

Curious a family member who was unable to have children became foster parents and only agreed to accept a child which would likely be adoptable. They were immediately placed with 2 boys - 6 mo old and 2 1/2 yr old brothers. They have had them 1 1/2 yrs now and the adoption comes up in October. These boys have become part of our large extended family and often we forget that we did not always have them! My daughter even said yesterday that they picked a nice name for the baby & I had to remind her that he already had his name! Everything looks good for the adoption.

that is awful that someone would say something so rude!
you dont know the sitution they are in and i know there are alot of woman that would do anything to be able to have a child and make a great mom but they cant.
and then you have these woman and men that throw them away. its sad and sick!
why can people who truely want a baby cant have them but the ones that dont pop them out left and right??

I agree with JUST WONDERING as far as contacting a lawyer first if you find someone who is interested in giving their baby up for adoption. There is paperwork involved giving custody to the adoptive mother at the time of delivery, etc. However, I'm not sure Jorjani is necessarily who I would call. Good luck and best wishes. Perhaps "Lil Bug" has one or two that have been removed by social services that you could adopt. Sorry you have to read stupid crap like that.

if u make such good money i guess u r smart enough to realize that 2/3 of the world is very very poor and people sale their children to sexual predators as soon as they can..visit Asia and u will find all the tiny babys that are not wanted..if u make good money or even know how to chat,,go to an african or asian chat room..i know u can find as many kids to adopt as u want..just like the wife of John McCain did..these children will suffer their entire life with no food no education and no one to love them..
you said u make good money so i believe you..what i find out is that u dont know how to follow the proper channels to adopt a child..take a vacation down to Mexico and see the kids who actually live on garbage dumps..its amazeing these kids dont die with disease immediately but Mexico is not the only place where babys are tossed out on garbage piles,,i know this for a fact as i have seen it in many countrys,,why not change a childs entire future by bringing them up in America...that would be real love
