It should not be "is lynn camp improving in grades this year". It should be "Is the students encouraged at home to listen to the students read at night and help them with their homework. Instead they are leaving their child to do whatever they want to do.
Is Lynn Camp students grades improving this year? Ask the parents if their child's grades are better this year then last, most parents will not know.

I have seen improvement in three of my children at the highschool. I have also seen improvement in there additude towards the teachers and facility. It is not perfect but there are positive changes going on. I dont see as much confrontation going on between the teachers and the students as there use to be either. They could stand to do some rearraging in the athletic dept. there is still some adults with bad additudes toward the students

The teacher that they are talking about come from Knox Central and is a very good teacher in math. The parents complain about their kids not learning anything, then you get a teacher that will teach their kids something then they complain about that. Never Happy.

I went to school in the 80's and graduated from Lynn Camp....I have to say, that I have had a serious disadvantage from my education there. Many people that I went to school with feel the same way. We had little opportunities, and little education...when we went to college we had to take classes that taught us how to learn. NOW that is ridiculous....and if the same thing is happening now...it needs to be fixed....and fast...or your children will not stand a chance.

It should actually be "Are the students encouraged at home? Do they listen to their child read at night and help them with their homework? In most cases, they just let their child do whatever they want to do." Don't correct people unless you know what you're talking about. The original question should also ask, "Are Lynn Camp students improving in grades this year?".

I went to Lynn Camp in the 90's, and I have to say that I feel like I really didn't learn what I was suppose to. Teachers acted like you were a bother to them if you went up to ask for help at their desk. Granted though, there were teachers who did care and were willing to take the time to explain. I think it's just a shame that those good teachers and the school gets ridiculed for all the teachers who do not care.

My daughter is in 7th grade at Lynn camp and she is on the honor roll. But u can't say it is the parents fault. We ain't at school it is the teacher time to try to do something with them. Must of the parent work to take care of there kids.

Lynn Camp is running its name into the ground. Last year, I would have defended it to my death bed, but this year I got a letter stating I was being kicked out for truency when all my absenses were excused, just because I live out of district and needed a homebound teacher when I had my daughter. It upset me because my ACT score was one of the highest last year, and they show no respect for it. This would be why their drop out rate has increased so much.

I'm glad I never went to Lynn Camp. I know a handful of people that's went there and doesn't even know how to spell.

"How do you spell DON'T?"

And yes, that was a real question.

It's the Teacher's JOB!

Some parents are uneducated and can't help with homework, we depend on trained people to educate our children.

TEACHERS are paid to do it.

OUR taxes pay teachers.

Should we pay McDonald's and then go home and fry it ourselves? NO

SHUT UP and do YOUR job
