read in the papaer where the guy made a plea deal and got 17 years...not enough in my opinion but who knows what a jury might come back with? Congrats to his daughters who I've never met but feel as though i know. My thoughts and prayers with you still!

I wonder when the alleged shooter will be eligible for parole?

I wonder when the real killer will come go trial and pay for his actions.

Tsk Tsk, did the husband of Bill Mills' sister get a furlough out of prison to come to the court proceedings? He was after all, arrested within weeks of the death of Bill Mills. Live by the sword, die by it. And of course his daughters' are devestated, working for a living is much harder than living off Daddy's drug money.
haha

okay.. whoever "i wonder" is.. obviously hasn't heard everything... The evidence did not go public.
and "daddy's drug money" ??????
nope! not quite.. there was a WHOLE lot more to the story than that.
Bill Mills was NOT a druggy...
This family is going through HELL right now..
its been 5 years since the murder of Bill Mills and their just now getting justice for it.
if you people have ANY respect WHAT SO EVER then you will be quiet and not mention another thing.
Doug Mabe got 17 years being charged of Man Slaughter.
Leave it at that.
the trial is over.
I wonder

Dead 5 years or 5 days or whatever, Bill Mills was still a drug dealer. And good to have him off the streets supplying to peoples children and spouses.

Where u part of this murder "I wonder", you seem to know an awful lot about some things that you shouldn't. My advice to you is that you better keep your thoughts to yourself or you will wind up in jail with Doug! Who by the way should've gotten the maximum sentence for this. Bill Mills was a great man, he will be very much missed and the whole family is greatful to finally see justice served! Whoever you are, one day you will get yours also!

Know too much? That is a funny statement from anyone, considering almost everyone in the Tri-County knows that Bill Mills was a drug dealer. And anyone that ever read a Times-Tribune knows that Bill Mills brother-in-law (the husband of Phyllis Middleton) was arrested for drug dealing within weeks of Bill Mills being remove from society.

Could it be those that worry so much about what is known are the ones that know too much? Please, keep jabbering... We are listening, agreed and Psst.

It looks like your the one laying all the cards right out on the table. SO what if he was? So what if someone's husband got arrested for dealing? Why do you care?? Are you jealous? I don't understand why your so upset or why you keep commenting on something that is NONE of your business, or is it? Are you related to Doug maybe? Hmm..so many questions.
now run that mouth

well if the family wanted justice the court system did a piss poor job in making that happen! Wonder why the family has never ask why unite and steely scalf have not been charged with murder or anything else in connection to this case hmmmm now how can the family complain about 17 yrs when the real criminals still walk free and wear their badges proud!!!! And yes this is fact maybe not a matter of public record but it is fact and everyone close to this case knows it including the family of both sides, prosecution, judges, jane butcher, and those with tarnished badges!!!!!

Everyone keeps implying a lot of things that are "well known" about this case. I am sure some of us would like the low down on this whole story. Now that it is apparently over, someone tell us all the facts, both public and behind the scenes. What really happened?
