How is that fair? They already get better gas mileage and can get through traffic faster. Why do they get special treatment?

My guess is they reserved an area up front away from most traffic to cut down on damage claim pay outs. People have a tendency not to see bikes on the road or in parking spaces. I had a new bike ( 136 miles)totaled out because someone "didn't see it" in the parking space and shoved it into the truck in the next space. And just for future reference life's not fair.... get over it!

buy one and you will get great gas mileage, and special treatment since you are being treated unfairly apparently. Are you obese or in poor health that you cannot walk from your vehicle into walmart? if so get a handicap tag for your vehicle and park up front. If you are healthy enough to walk be thankful. thats my opinion

I have to agree with T-Bo. I mean come on for real..you have nothing else to worry about other than the motorcycle parking spaces?! I wish that was all I had to worry about.

Are you so obese or in poor health that you need to park close to the door with your motorcycle? Motorcyclists aren't handicapped. You aren't special. Those spaces should be reserved for handicapped people.

when they mark off parking lots the handicap spots take up more room than a standard spot (i know you already know this) but not all parking lots are the same size so there are "wasted" space in some places and they want to keep the all the rows even so it will look nice. some places have to have space for stop signs and fire hydrants while other rows dont, so instead of wasting that space they make a parking for motorcycles. Plus there is a less chance of the cyclist being crowded or hit by someone whipping into a full sized space too fast thinking its empty and knock over a bike then leave the scene. Why dont you buy a bike and park up there since it bothers you so bad that you and the handicaped are being treated so poorly. I get mad when i see someone in the handicap spot that doesnt have a tag or isnt handicaped at all. That should be the real discussion here.

I see no problem with special motorcycle parking. Many businesses offer this to bikers, such as kings island and dollywood. The issue I have is handicapped parking spaces. Handicapped parking should be in the fire lane, and the fire lane should be farther from the building. You would never see a fire truck that close to a building that's on fire. It isn't safe.

All the time you spend driving around looking for a good spot and b-tching about motorcycles you could have walked to the door 10 times. You people are pathetic. As the above poster said, lifes not fair. Walk more, you'll lose weight

I ride a bike, it has a handicapped license plate. I have a severely damaged right knee. Luckily the bike when held up and balanced is not something I can't still handle. The parking area up front at Walmart is a lined off area that is not useful for much else either. People do run over them when parked out in the lot. It happens all the time. I paid, (financed) my little sportster and will have $15,000 in it by the time I pay it off. I'm not a rich person, so I can't afford to have it run over by someone. The parking at Walmart is nominal and is not used anyway.

You apparently are mentally handicapped...that should be enough to get you a handicapped sign, so you can park in the spaces. I pity you, because if all you have to do with your time, is put down people who ride motorcycles and carry on a b*tchfest over something that stupid, you need a handicapped space. By the way, they have the parking up front for motorcyclists because, you can see them up there, dummy...if a bike is pulled in a spot next to two cars in the middle of the parking lot, a car is not going to see it and pull in the same space, therefore, hitting the bike, damaging it, and also damaging their car. GET A LIFE.

You bunch of dumb hillbillies. Bikes in the lot get hit in the rear all the time because you idiot cage drivers are too busy texting to see if the space is really vacant as you pull in. Insurance will not cover a bike parked in a non parking area and they are the most stolen vehicle on the road, parking between two cars simply provides cover for bike thieves. Wall Mart finally did one smart thing, adding bike parking in front protects the bikes and makes space for several bikes in one spot, opening up other spaces for more of you cage drivers, so put down your crack pipes and take a few less pills. Be glad six bikes are in one spot so your overfed butt won't have far to walk to the bon bons.

Why do motorcycles get to park so close to the front at Wal-mart?
Because most bikers are mentally handicapped and can't find any of the entrances.

Hi,
I own a restaurant out in the country. Folk drive up, park and then walk thru my pedestrian only gate and then about 100 feet further to the restaurant outside area. The pedestrian gate is also the handicap drop off gate (about the same distance from a Walmart handicap space to the door of Walmart) I do let bikers ride thru a "biker only" opening in that gate to park up front. Other supposed "handicapped" people get mad at me and tell me they should be able to come thru that gate and get drooped off. Ain't gonna happen! There are many of our guests walking to and from the dining area to the restrooms in my gravel "pedestrian" lot. I used to let cars (cages) in that area. Very bad! Many car drivers had very poor situational awareness, especially when backing around walkers. All of our biker guests seem to be in great control of their situational awareness. That's my two cents!
