well, i was there a few months ago, and it was kinda slow. not too exciting. nothing but older people in there.

they do have a good thing set up tho, and alot of songs to choose from
they just need to kick it up a little.

I go there all the time and it's so much fun . Whoever said it was slow must have been there on a slow night . They have a great set up and tons of songs . There is a dance floor and everything .

I've been there and it's great! Something for everyone and you don't have to have a drink to have a good time. Great for the entire family!!

I think there is a misunderstanding about Karaoke Tyme ..it is a family place but its not just kids ..there are more adults than kids and the DJ's are awesome .

Does anyone know anything about them having a karaoke contest? will it be fair? how do you get in it? how much does it pay off?

Rosco...you kinda got your facts wrong! The Cherokee Club, which had the building after hours was shut down Friday night by the Whitley County Sheriff's Dept. KARAOKE-TYME, which was open to the general public from 7p-11p was not "BUSTED" but since we shared the building with the Club and they shut the BUILDING down..we can not play there until they release the building. We also was contracted to play karaoke for the club, but we were not involved with any wrong doings.

I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion. The other 50-60 people that were there would probably disagree with you. When I was there, seemed everyone was having fun and the music sounded good. They did have several kids, but the kids were singing too. Guess it just depends on what you call fun. I'll admit..they didn't have any alcohol or good drugs...was that your problem too?

Slow, old, old fashioned, shut down for drinking?
you boys and girls sure you been to the right place? Well, I guess there is no drinking, no drugs, no fighting, cussing, being hit on, kids dont run around, they get involved and sing pretty good and are outnumbered by the adults, had a great selection of music, everyone is cordial and polite and takes turns and everyone has a good time~! If you call that boring and sucky, and for old ppl, and kids, yep thats the place~!

dont want my kids in a place like this been there know what it is like will take mine to church not a place that has been shut down because of mthe open bar.
going to a reasturant to eat is a different thing but not to a place like this where they are trying to act like the big times

i am not now nor have i ever intended to become the karaoke dj at the frasiers .
i do not intend to run any karaoke show except at home for my family , i have not conspired to do so with anyone. my wife and i and our family has enjoyed the karaoke tyme.
we liked all the people and enjoyed the singing.

I actually spent my weekend at what used to be Karaoke Tyme & is now "I Love Karaoke" for the time being & I have to say that my friends, family, & I had a great time. I wondered how it would be with a new DJ but suprisingly discovered that the sound was better, the mics were of better quality & we could hear ourselves singing, & the atmosphere was so much more relaxed than before. I have normally enjoyed my time there but this weekend was the best yet. There was not this competition for time on stage & this nervousness of duos & trios taking up other people's stage time, it was just everyone having ample opportunity to entertain the crowd & just have a good ol' time. Karaoke is not meant to be some serious audition for American Idol, it is intended as a form of entertainment where people of all talent ranges can come out & sing because they love to sing...nothing more, nothing less, just a love of music & singing. I have always felt that people needed to lighten up at Karaoke Tyme & just enjoy themselves & not worry so much about "his turn" or "her turn" or "he/she had more turns" but about a fun evening out away from the workplace!

Anyway, whether you have ever been to what used to be Karaoke Tyme on the Falls Hwy or not, come in and enjoy this great atmosphere that the owners have created either for the first time or give it a second chance if you have been before...I think you will be pleasantly suprised at the changes made (I know I was)! I was Sad to see the DJ & some of the other singers leave but glad to see some changes & a fresh start of what seems to be an even better environment!! Hope this weekend is as great as this past weekend!

I agree with ya the place is a lot better now and im glad I went this past weekend. I hope more people will come out so it will be even more fun. I never really like that dj guy anyway he wasnt too nice to me and seemed like same peole always was singing over and over.
