You nailed it! The Focus meetings are supposed to be to making things better and management promises not to hold it against you. I was honest in a Focus meeting and got black listed. They kept hunting for something wrong with my work and couldn't find anything so they made up lies and twisted the truth and fired me. Anyone who current works there should keep quiet unless they want to be the next to go.

the truth of the matter is, that most of you dumb people are mad because you did not have the skills to keep your job there. You either missed so much work that you got termed for attendance or you just flat out didn't do your job. Now that you have lost your job, you have to get on topix and down everyone that still has their job there. You are very sad people.

Wow! Maybe I should be more specific! Extra time for potty breaks isn't allowed. You are right, they can't take our breaks and lunch away from us, but if we need to go before that, we can't.

I recently left the company due to some personal reasons. And everything I've read in this post is pretty much true. Anyhwo is right, if you need to go to the restroom (whether it be you are sick, you have bladder issues, etc.) you can't. Period. And yes, the management sucks. Most of the supervisors there don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. I find it funny how people there kiss ass to keep their jobs. No job is worth kissing ass or sleeping with a supervisor/manager.

Forget that place and you fools need to educate yourself to how it works there.

All Federal Contractors doing like work as Vangent need only to bid 5% less than what the Federal government can do the job at to be considered. That being said consider a GS 5 would be making between 15-22 per hour depending on the Step progression answering calls as a CSR. After 20 years a Government pension is owed and while your working free health insurance for yourself and low cost for family. The work load is controlled and about 65-70% of what Vangent plans for CSRs.

It saves the US Government nothing to use a Vangent! Instead of workers making a decent living with insurance and pension the "Vangents" pay low wages compared to workload and skill with no insurance and if they find a way to cheat you out of the $3.35 per hour non taxed money they will!

All this money saved in wage differences is not returned to the American Taxpayer or the Worker. It is kept by the company for huge million dollar salaries to people like Mac Davis who will be a billionaire when that company goes public next year while half the single moms at the Corbin place need foodstamps to feed thier kids!!!!

When I worked there I observed poor people trying to make a living and eating crap from poorly trained leaders who belonged in a factory. I saw the best looking woman in the joint with no post secondary education go from CSR to running the place. Countless college grads can't get a promotion and the company does not need to justify anything. If it was a GOVERNMENT agency you couldn't promote the cute chick who might be giving some up over the heavy college educated woman, it just would not be tolerated. At a company who doesn't operate on slick kick back contracts for opening facilities and making donations to certain elected officials promoting bad management would not be tolerated and be a means to an end at a company competing on the open market...not at Vangent, because they don't have to compete as long as those stinky campaign contributions keep rolling in to people like Hal R!

Don't work for places like this who abuse you and keep half of what the Feds say the job is worth while making your work load about twice of what the Feds say it should be. All these outsourced Government Call centers are rip offs and Vangent is not alone: Senture, Assenture, Data track, and Convegerys are the same.

No Government Contracts should be awarded unless it is paying the GS wage scale to employees, Insurance, and the same work loads. The tax payer already paid for that but evil people like Mac davis eat like pigs at the money trough not allowing the working poor he exploits enough money to feed thier families without the help of the taxpayer again. Ask yourself why only one person in HR has a BA or BS degree while a couple of women who are less actractive have 4 year degrees in the subject matter but work on the floor. Why do you not see any black people or of other color in management roles there? Where are the Vets and men at? Not a very diverse place with corrupt managers promoting a culture of inbread leadership that doesn't work or the turnover rate would be much much lower.

Vangent stupidly obcesses over the agents' "non-interaction time" (which forces agents to ask unncessary questions to reduce non-interaction time, speed through the call, and say silly things such as "I'm still researching that" over and over.
The worst aspect of Vangent is that travesty it makes of customer service. Regettably, Vangent makes a pretense of caring about customer service, but it's nothing more than an electronic sweatship that forces you to get through calls as quickly as possible, regardless of how callous you have to be to the callers to make that happen. So, if a caller's cognition is slow, hearing is bad, etc., they still have to figure it out in seven minutes because after that, as a Vangent CSR, you have to get that caller off the phone by any means necessary. Also, CSRs really just can't caller's vent, because that costs time.

Isn't it 'great' how if you have to use break aux during time not scheduled for break to run to the restroom, you have to choose whether to hurt your "adherance" or run the risk of "aux abuse"?

Management there is a disgrace. They claim to be Christians, but treat people ungodly. CMS is a good contract but the managers make it a living nightmare to work there. If you voice an opinion they will gang up on you and find something wrong with your work or make up lies.
Mac Curtis should pull the contract and give it to Senture. I have friends who have worked there and that company lives up to saying they are a Christian company.

What's with this bathroom obsession? I mean, you're all mad because you can't get paid for running back and forth to the restroom all day? Duh. I guess little whining babies DO have little tiny bladders. Seriously though, if you're an adult you should be able to sit and DO YOUR JOB for more than ten minutes without peeing yourself. And if you do have some kind of problem, bring in a doctor's note. Seems pretty obvious to me. Plus, why did you think they gave you a trashcan at your desk? Multi-task! I guess I'm the only one that's worked for places that treated me a lot worse. I'd never say they're perfect but come on! There has to be some sort of rule because obviously you can't force maturity or work ethic. PS. Doesn't anyone care about, oh I don't know, the deficit?

Why are so many of you obsessed with who you think is a Christian and who is "unGodly" or "disgraceful"? Didn't your mamas ever tell you God frowns on us judging one another? And what is the definition of a "Christian company" anyway? That cracks me up. I think most companies are focused on profits which to humble little ole me doesn't seem like the most "Christian" of all values. Doesn't the Bible say quite a bit about the way we should persue and use our money? I don't know where people get this stuff.
