<quoted text> Just for the record,i went to steve haines and had to have a root canel, for several months afterward the tooth about killed me. went and got a second opinion, come to find out he half way done the root canal...so he really isn't that great i guess you were just lucky!!!!
well funny that you say that, the day after i left that thread i had a tooth absess. I had switched dentists to Gina Mills in B'ville cause I needed someone who was open on Fridays. Anyway, My whole face swelled up and I went to her and what do u know, it was the tooth that Steve Haines had done the root canal on. I guess he didnt get it all. So now I either have to get a bridge, or get a fake tooth there that will cost me 2,400 dollars out of pocket and my insurance dont cover implants. The tooth is so close to the front of my mouth, I cant just leave a space. Looks like I'm withdrawing my earlier comment about Mr. Haines lol

Dr. Brent McDonald in Barbourville is the best. I used to go to Dr. Combs in Corbin.... they got too busy and seemed to not care anymore. Everyone that I have told about Dr. McDonald, loves it there as well.

Dr. Amy Brock is by far one of the best dentist in town. She is located on Cumberland Falls Hwy between the Bank of Corbin and Advance Auto Parts.

I was a patient of Dr. Henderlight's for years. My teeth kept breaking & fillings kept falling out when (of all things) I was flossing! I saw him one time to get one fixed and less than 2 weeks later, another filling fell out. I tried to get into see them but they were full for the next 2 months (and wouldn't put me on a call-list)so I switched dentists. It hadn't occurred to me before that Henderlight hadn't taken x-rays of my teeth in about 8 years and I was going to see him on a regular basis for cleanings and everything! I had dental insurance too so that wasn't the cause for not taking x-rays. Come to find out, I also had a mouth full of cavities, have had to have (so far) 2 root canals and when I end up getting all of this damage repaired, will have spent out of pocket over $10,000 to fix what he could have prevented. Beware of this dentist!

i worked at a dentist in Corbin for 2 years and learned ALOT by word of mouth and watching my boss try to correct damage done by another dentist. My husband adores Dr.Haines, but I beg him not to go back. In one week, we saw 4 patients come in from Dr.Haines' office that had damage that could no longer be repaired and they either lost their tooth or went throught the process of having implants.Extremley expensive!! I'm sure he's a great guy, but I would not go there for anything other than directions! Barry Bingham in Londaon has a great rep as well as Gina Mills in B'ville. Corbin has a few that are able to handle less detailed procedures but I wouldn't have a RCT done by anyone other than the Combs bros. and it's true, u can not get in. Dr.Martin has a great EDDA and they can handle most needs but probably not ur best bet for root canals. Dr. Couch also has a strong rep. As for a hygienist, Christy Martin at Dr.Martin's office is the BEST in our area.stellular reputation

Evidently you have not learned enough about dentistry, it isn't Combs bros. it is father and son. Get your facts right before you start saying stuff. And as far as Dr. Haines goes he is great I have a huge fear of goin to the dentist but I went to him and he was GREAT, I felt no pain when he did a deep cleaning on me, and he pulled one of my wisdom teeth, again NO PAIN. Thanks DR. HAINES for doing a great job.

Christy is a wonderful Hygienist and my family has been going to Dr. Martin for a couple of years. She now even has a second hygienist, Brittany & she is just as wonderful as all of them. Dr. Martin will help anyone out, no matter the problem!
