These dumb tea baggers don't sip the Limbag kool-aid juice. They take it anally.

Know why the tea bagger father told his 12-year old daughter she couldn't smoke at the table?

It was a bad influence on her kids.

Union dumps AFL-CIO for its positions on ObamaCare, immigration reform
September 02, 2013
The International Longshore and Warehouse Union has cut ties with the AFL-CIO, citing in part the private-sector union’s support for ObamaCare and immigration reform.
In an August 29 letter to AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, leaders of the 40,000-member union said they have become “increasingly frustrated” with the federation’s policy positions on such matters as immigration and health care reform.
“We feel the federation has done a great disservice to the labor movement and all working people,” wrote Robert McEllrath, president of the San Francisco-based ILWU.

The Iraq War has turned the British public against any military intervention in the Middle East, according to a ComRes survey for The Independent.
By a margin of two-to-one, the British people oppose President Barack Obama’s plan for military strikes against the Assad regime and say that the UK should keep out of all conflicts in the region for the foreseeable future.

"Asked whether the experience of the 2003 Iraq war means that Britain should keep out of military conflicts in the Middle East for the foreseeable future, 62 per cent agree and 31 per cent disagree."

so the British public is ticked off because of the Bush admin's lies concerning Iraq.

Obamacare casualty: Longshoremen cut ties with AFL-CIO, citing health plan
September 3, 2013
The International Longshore and Warehouse Union and its 40,000 members said goodbye to the AFL-CIO, cutting longtime ties in part because of Obamacare.
ILWU President Robert McEllrath announced the action in a letter to AFL-CIO President Richard L. Trumpka, Newsmax reported. In one part, Mr. McEllrath accused the AFL-CIO of “going along to get along” with the White House, citing Obamacare and immigration, among other issues.
The letter stated:“President Obama ran on a platform that he would not tax medical plans and at the 1009 AFL-CIO Convention, you stated that labor would not stand for a tax on our benefits.” But what’s ensued is the AFL-CIO’s support of taxes on “Cadillac” insurance plans — like the Longshoremen have, Newsmax reported.
Moreover, the letter stated, Longshoremen were sick and tired of the AFL-CIO’s position on immigration reform.

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) said Tuesday that they will vote to support the use of force in Syria, giving President Obama key allies in the Nos. 1 and 2 GOP leadership positions in the House.

Boehner also said he would encourage his colleagues to join him.

“I’m going to support the president’s call for action, and I believe my colleagues should,” he said.
Cantor released a statement saying he, too, is on board.

Was there ever any doubt about 2016? The GOP can't win. It's impossible to win the primary AND be sane enough to win the general. You have to be batshit scared crazy, paranoid and racist to get the dumb tea baggers to give the nomination, but that batshit crazy idiot (Ted Cruze - birth certificate, please?) has no chance of winning among a sane and rational general public.

September 2, 2013
The International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU), have announced that they are leaving the AFL-CIO, citing irreconcilable differences. The union cited many grievences but focused mainly on Obamacare and accused AFL-CIO president, Richard Trumka of playing along to get along. They are also upset over Trumka's position on immigration reform.
In a strongly worded letter from ILWU President Robert McEllrath, in which he cited a laundry list of objections his union has with the leadership of the AFL-CIO. Foremost is Obamacare, which will force longshoreman to pay a "Cadillac Tax" on their health benefits. McEllrath accused Trumpka of going back on his promise from in 2009, when he said the union would not support a healthcare plan that would lead to more taxes from the members.

The 40,000-member International Longshore and Warehouse Union has dropped its ties to the AFL-CIO in a letter that partly blames compromises over Obamacare.
The letter from ILWU president Robert McEllrath to AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, dated Aug. 29, sets out a list of the Longshoremen's complaints against the AFL-CIO. The last page of the three-page letter accuses the AFL-CIO of "going along to get along" with the Obama administration on healthcare, immigration reform, and other issues.
"President Obama ran on a platform that he would not tax medical plans and at the 2009 AFL-CIO Convention, you stated that labor would not stand for a tax on our benefits," McEllrath wrote. Instead, the AFL-CIO lobbied affiliates to support the taxing of so-called "Cadillac" plans like the Longshoremen have.

"The bulk of the letter deals with the Longshoremen's issues with AFL-CIO members crossing Longshoremen picket lines at Northwest grain terminals."

As Big Labor disowns ObamaCare, will Republicans own it?

While Congress was out on recess this August, the 40,000-member International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) quit the AFL-CIO over the group's acquiescence to President Obama over the perversely named Affordable Care Act (ACA), firing the first shot in the debate over what to do when the law inevitably collapses.
The ILWU’s attack on ObamaCare followed a public letter condemning the law jointly signed by International Brotherhood of Teamsters General President James P. Hoffa; Donald “D.” Taylor, president of UNITE-HERE; and Joseph Hansen, international president of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union.
The letter from Hoffa, Taylor and Hanson to the Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) unequivocally states,“Right now, unless you and the Obama Administration enact an equitable fix, the ACA will shatter not only our hard-earned health benefits, but destroy the foundation of the 40 hour work week that is the backbone of the American middle class.”

George W. Bush: Still the worst
A new study ranks Bush near the very bottom in history, due to delusional wars, reckless spending and inflexibility

Wilentz’s Rolling Stone piece, appearing in the spring of 2006, with Bush still in office, posed a question: Was this president the worst ever? The Bush presidency, wrote Wilentz, appeared “headed for colossal historical disgrace,” and there didn’t seem to be anything Bush could do to forestall that fate. He added,“And that may be the best-case scenario. Many historians are now wondering whether Bush, in fact, will be remembered as the very worst president in all of American history.”
