Salvation Army needs to stop ringing those damn bells more people would let them stand by their businesses. I hate hearing those bells.

The economy has it issues, but we are not in a recession as the left wants us to believe
Your messiah's plan to raise every tax possible will only make maters much worse
Your ranting about all the companies that are in trouble, is the mesiah's bright idea of nearly doubling the cororate tax rate a good idea? r lifting the cap off SS wages bring prosperity to Amercia?
The market can correct its own issues if the government will stay the h*** out out of the picture
If a man was run over by a bus going 60 miles anhour & he was laying on the road with broken bone, bleeding all over, and barely breathing, you would call 9-11 and when asked about the man's condition, you would say: "He's doing great but he has a few issues".

And I see you favor McCain's "sit back & watch" plan.

We need good resturants in this area. Has anyone ever been to a Melting Pot? It is fondue all the way. You cook or dip your own foods in the pots that are on your table. You get a 4 course meal.
Also, we do need some good steak houses and of course a big sports bar with all the yummy foods that they serve. I know, I am dreaming. I live in Fayetteville and all we have is car lots.
Love the Melting Pot.
The nearest one might be Philly.

Actually, China is going thru a period of rising costs, etc.

The new thing that China might be exporting to us is more inflation.

Walmart prices have also gone up significantly.

Target claims that they donate money to the Salvation Army every year so that's supposedly why they don't let the bell ringers there at X-mas time.

I guess you hate Christmas too. If you don't, then just think, those bells may help someone who is a little less fortunate have a merrier Christmas !

those bells turn more people away rather than draw them near. I really do get a headache hearing them. I don't hate the holidays and I do feel for those less fortunate than I am. However I hate those freaking bells.

I am not wealthy and i do go to the Butcher shoppe. There meat is fresher and about the same as Giant and sunnyway. There has been too many times I got meat from the grocery stores and it was bad.
There lunch meat is about 4.99 a pound compared to Giants 6.99 and the wait is much quicker!

We would all love to buy meat from the Butcher Shoppe,
however, if you arent an "upper class" citizen, chances are you would have to get a cosigner to to purchase enough to feed a family of four for a week.
their prices are outrageous on nearly all items, which brings them wealthy clients who go there to avoid the hassles of a normal grocery store.

This story doesn't even pinpoint the actual store coming, nor when it will be up and running, and before you can finish reading the article more than 120 posters have commented about:
- what type of steakhouse they find enjoyable
- Mexicans (and 'low life scum')
- which grocery store chain is locally owned
- how much they want stores on the West Side
- Obama
- McCain
- Libs and Dems and Reps
- the price of gas now, and in 2009 and beyond
- which store has the best meats
- that Giant has the 'better looking' customers
- that Giant is filled with 'the rich folks'
- what someone's grocery bill was at Food Lion
- what The Messiah has to say
- and on and on
I applaud the few actual intelligent posters here who have commented on the REAL issues this large-scale commercial project will create, among them:
- increased traffic congestion on Route 30
- more pollution
- the lack of zoning in Hamilton or St. Thomas
- the lack of adequate water and sewer resources
- the ability of local entities such as Bear Valley to restrict water use to residential customers for years, yet be ready and agreeable to receive large commercial development with open arms
- the need for efficent land use/open space
- and several other issues which will require more of our hard-earned tax dollars
I am glad to see that at least a few folks have their priorities and community concerns straight.

LOL.
LOL, indeed! At least this thread's not yet degenerated to schoolyard epithets about who God likes better (like 75% of the other discussions from PO stories)!

It's Walmart. I have friends who are working for the surveying and consulting firms. They didn't tell me specifically, because they can't, but they gave a bunch of clues describing Walmart.
