How very nice that Edgeworth officials canceled a plan for creating sufficient parking space for Sewickley Academy students and employees. They did not want to create any additional traffic in a "quiet" Edgeworth neighborhood. These same officials pushed through with an earlier Sewickley Academy expansion knowing very well that Thorn Street and Academy Avenue in Sewickley would be permanently congested with hundreds of cars and school buses. Edgeworth council members and other officials voted happily for the expansion of the Sewickley Academy and then refused to work with Sewickley officials on any plan for reducing the enormous traffic problem which that expansion created. Thorn Street and Academy residents have stated that Edgeworth people care only for Edgeworth people and this recent decision shows that they were correct. Edgeworth officials and residents should feel ashamed. They probably don't.
