What a great job everyone did with the clean up around the waterfront and Neighborhood Road by the Fire Dept and the 5 corners boat triangle. Somebody said that Pattersquash Creek and Osprey Point didn't want to be involved. What's up with that?

How sad that certain groups can't put aside whatever differences they have for the good of the community. I think it was great that the MBPOA tried to bring everyone together.

Yes everyone did a great job and it looks a lot better around the village. I noticed once they announced the clean up the village DPW ran around trying to clean things up. I hope the MBPOA organizes a clean up of all the leaves and dirt that has been collecting on the side of the roads since Irene. There is grass growing 6 to 12 inches into the road. Perhaps if we did a community clean up to sweep up the dirt on the side of road the village DPW would actually do it.
Thanks for all your help

Well, in the villages defense, they don't actually have a plan for anything. They only react to what is being said on topics and what the MBPOA is doing. They don't understand how to get thing done, just to throw tax dollars at family members and hope we all don't notice.

why would any group not want to be involved in a community cleanup? it just makes them seem petty. it reinforces the idea that we are a divided community. to the outsider, it would seem that these groups who pulled out at the last moment were not really interested in the betterment of their community, but instead interested in their own betterment.

it's sad that the community has to suffer for people's old grudges.

Many groups came out and helped. How sad that some groups are so immature that they can't put aside petty differnce to the betterment of the community. Don't worry too much, everyone knows which groups they are and they are the laughing stock of the community.

they did not make it personal. the other civics made it personal by backing out at the last minute. and, also, the village is constantly patting themselves on the back and pounding their chests. they do it at every opportunity. i simply think that cleaning our community is a priority and everyone should be on board with it. i am sure that if you asked other civics to help plant and clean they would gladly help. it's time to forget old grudges and remember that we are all neighbors; and it is our responsibility to clean up our village and make sure that outsiders see a united front instead of a bunch of babies who are constantly infighting.

They cleaned the triangle at PCCA's boat, Elm Road, Neighborhood Road and Both sides of the waterfront )onlythe waterside is theirs. And yes the village pounds their chest at every opportunity and by the way the MBPOA participates in all the spring clean-ups as well.

Speaking of which, I saw that the village picked up a good portion of the bags of debris that you guys collected and left on the side of the roads.

it was the village's job to do the storm cleanup. they left alot of garbage and debris. citizens cleaned it up. i would hope that the village would pick up the garbage, since i pay taxes for this purpose. they do not get an award for doing their jobs.
