I just wanted to say that it's been almost three years since NWA ended my Aviation career and I find it a little hard to stomache when real people like me who's careers, in my case 23 years of Aircraft Maintenance including three for the US ARMY as a Helicopter Mechanic, are now considered "Slashed Costs' and "reorganized operations". I guess it's best for those who still make money from NWA to try and de-personalize it. I do hope that the guy in Singapore who has my job now realizes where it came from. Because, he's next as soon as he is paid what he's worth.

They who run NWA should spend more time running the airline and less time trying to rid itself of it's employees through strikes and mergers. The way I see it, a big reason NWA went bankrupt (the 1st time) was because they didn't hedge fuel costs like Southwest did. It's pretty simple if there's a war in the Mid East and Iraq/Iran stop pumping: Fuel will be expensive. If they were paying attention they would have used some of that $3 billion they brag about to hedge their fuel costs right up to their eyeballs: just like Southwest did after Katrina and has done this year. But NWA didn't hedge a year ago and they 're much too busy merging/acquiring and beating their employees to pay any attention now. I hear they're calling it Chapter 22 this time;>)

Great way to get rid of 'unwanted' personnel before any merger. Already seeing the 'efficiencies' of less capacity in the system. I just have to love how this thing is playing out.
