I wasnt a civilain dip shit, and two what f***ing part of Hood are you looking at, cause I see so many fat ass people, it makes me sick. Obviously what I said struck a nerve with you i wonder why. Open your eyes and realize that your picture perfect army is a load of bullshit.

I never said the Army was picture perfect. Yes, they have some overweight people. Years ago they were discharging those types. These days they need all they can get so they keep them. Most of them are "flagged" - will never get promoted until they lose that weight.
Strike a nerve? Yep, sure did. I'm tired of you civilians bashing the Army. They have an extremely tough mission fighting on two fronts in a depleted military thanks to our wonderful morons in D.C. that have cut back so much. You said you weren't a civilian. Well, what are you now? One enlistment and out?

I fought in Iraq like many others, but im sick of old bags like yourself throwing your experiance in other peoples faces, I think you may have been in the military but from the way you speak to others with no respect, you dont seem like you were ever in a 1stSgt position, and if you were I feel bad for those who were under your chain of command. You need to change the name that you go by on here because nobody cares if your a retired 1stSgt. And you sure talk alot of shit, do you remember that the Quote on Quote Morons were the people who put us in Iraq instead of finishing the fight in Afghanistan? Oh yeah another thing alot of those morons as you say are also retired Vets, so think about what you say more carefully next time you wanna say some tough shit old timer.

Thanks for your service, but I seriously doubt you served multiple deployments like many of these today are doing. You obviously couldn't hack it so you chose the ETS route. Probably made E-4. Man, you are a real hero. Now you sit on here bashing the Army and some of its overweight soldiers. You're just an asshole - pure, plain and simple.
Actually, when I retired I was in a SGM position. So enough of your speculation dipstick.
The "morons" that put us over there are not retired vets. Only a very small part of the house and senate have ever served in the military. If they had, they'd no that war is not good business and we probably never would have gotten involved. Of course, guys like Al "I invented the internet" Gore had a tough tour as a postal clerk. Ted "drunken slob" Kennedy was a legal clerk. Entered the army as a private and was discharged as a private. We all know about George Bush's honorable service in the AF Reserve. Colin Powell was the only one who really could say he served. Rumsfeld also was in the AF when he was much younger. And we all know about John McCain.
Don't feel bad for anyone under me in my chain, because they knew I was strict but fair. I stuck up for them when necessary, and slam dunked them when necessary.
Any further comments by you will be ignored. You come on here blasting the Army, when it's obvious you couldn't hack it.

Nonoe said I was out you idiot, and If you wanna fight then Ill let you know where Im at and I will fight you because you know what, people like you are the reason the ARMY is full of shit bag NCO's. People like you are the reason Sgt David of the 1st Cav Division died in Iraq because you failed to change your route when earlier in the day Col Karcher had been hit by an IED, you still sent Sgt David out instead of using the proper route clearance procedures. You take your Postion so highly instead of realizing that the true back bone of the US Army is the lower enlisted men and women who bust their asses every day so that you assholes look good. And another thing, if you dont like who is in Office, than you should vote more wisely to who you put into office. You trash and trash on people all day. And also if it wasnt for the airforce, navy, and marines the army wouldnt have lasted an hour in Iraq or afghanistan. Stop trtashing on people just to make yourself feel better you worthless peice of shit. Your a Disgrace to the Uniform.

What does all this matter anyways just out of curosity.... I have read all 87 comments and it went from people asking for advice and help to people fighting for a right to speak their minds which is the right of every American right? I just dont understand all the hostility instead of bad mouthing each other why dont ya'll help each other figure out a solution for the problems at hand so what if some are diferent ranks or have more years served your all heros in my book you all go out and face things people like me dont have the strength or mind set to. You are the supermans of this generation or saviors and protectors stop fighting please and stop asking for a million details who cares if you dont understand the entire story you guys are almost brothers you people are MY HEROS dont make yourselves look like rude arrogant jerks for what it is worth i have seen the news and videos and it scares the shit out of me what ya'll do so thank you all for what your doing but seriously help each other dont hurt each other the best of luck to all of you and tahnks again for keeping me and my children safe God bless all of you.

I understand your gripe a little. I'm still in the army. i have served 2 tours so far and in oct i might be going back making it 3 tours and im only a spc. some ncos do have severe issues with temper. But understand they are not ncos they are just sgts to me. A true nco is going to care just read the nco creed if they live by that then they are true ncos. But if they dont they are making the nco corps look bad. Ive had lots of issues with ncos. They dont like to be told they are wrong and you will get smoked for showing them up. Most of the shit bag ncos were treated the same way just like i was for 6 years but i told myself i wont be like that i will be a good leader so im going to do my part to break that chain. Its hard for soldiers to be talked down to and treated like shit i just keep my mouth shut look foward and move on. Real ncos talk respect mentor and care. So many ncos say its a new weak army that is not true its the same army but the soldiers have rights and to be treated with respect its in the nco creed. Im trying to go back to iraq right now i just got back from a 12 month tour last month and i know staying where im at now is not going to be good for me so im choosing to go back in oct with div. But not all ncos are assholes. So please dont bash on soldiers treat every one with respect and see how the lowest pvt to spc will work for you.

Well I have some great news that's funny to me because all te people that bashed me along the way that should have been the people helping not fighting me but it's ok I suppose. I'm on 100% Disablility for Injuries suffered while in the line of duty. It's been that way actually since 2010. The VA takes care of me and it's a great relief to actually have help. I'm sorry to those Of you that do not like me for whatever your reasons may be. On another note I have been looking for my ex so that I can finally get our divorce settled and put to an end. I haven't been able to find her or contact her in over a year and a half. But anyway my life is finally getting better and I'm in the treatment I need to get better and better my son's life. Oh and also I am actually getting a Purple Heart Awarded for what happened to me while in Iraq. I yet again am sorry to those of you that do not like me for whatever reason, but to those of you that were and have been Supportive Including the Wounded Warrior Project and the VA Thank You do Much!

And one more thing, Rachel if you are reading this which I hope you are, you need to be honest about every little bit of what you did financially while I was off on Deployment and how you were sick and I was trying make sure I was at the MWR to call you and make sure you were ok, an the. That you were at the bar With another Soldiers husband at that, and that you both were sleeping in the same house as eachother and that also you never even spent a single moment with me while I was home on R&R and that you were at his house sleepin in his bed, so yeah go ahead an play yourself the victim, I made well over $40,000 and you had every last cent of it and the Sign on Bonus that I received for joining the Army in the first place and I didn't have a single thing. Oh also that when I got home you were still sleeping in the other man's bed in his home while his wife was also still deployed it took you a week and a half to come over and tell me that we were over and that you were done with me and to get out of my home. Which is what I did, I went to the hospital on Post and was kept there for two weeks which I called you while I was there and tried to talk to you an get you to come and see me which you refused to do. I didn't meet my fiancÚ till months later and she is also my Legal Caretaker I might add, so go ahead and keep trashing me and tryin to defame my name. My DD214 my ERB and my VA Paperwork speak for themselves, and my Record is Perfectly Clean. And to the other Soldier on here that says he knows me, I know who you are too, and you Specialist are lucky that I didn't report you to our Chain of Command for you havi g smuggled Alcohol into Iraq and drinking while we were on Duty, I looked after you and kept you out of trouble, while you were sick I did your job for you and I did your missions for you, why? Because I Loved you like a brother and still do, I'm sorry for what happened to you on your previous deployment and I always tried to help you out with it in the ways I could without having over stepped my bounds. But all of this is the past and I've forgiven all of you for the things you yourselves did, but I needed to clear the air and clear the air is what I have done.

The Army deserves every bit of bashing it can get.

It's a sick organization that thrives on hatred, intolerance, sadism and strutting obnoxious macho.

It takes normal people and turns them into something less than human.

It also pursues an extremist right wing agenda. News flash. The role of the military is to defend the country, not brainwash its captive audience with its political views. The situation is so bad, if you're pegged a liberal, they'll try to run you out of basic.

If there's a shortage of manpower in the military, it's because the fukwipes who run it have succeeded in turning everyone off to the idea of service. What a collection of "Nyah, I'm better than you are" azz*holes. They are nasty, abusive and elitist. They train people to commit war crimes. They don't represent the better part of America, that's for sure. And don't be fooled by their public persona. Behind closed doors, many of them are savages. See Jack Nicholson in the film, "A Few Good Men" to get an idea of what your typical military officer is like. Enough to make normal people cringe.

To those in the system who defend it, to thee I say "You can have it".

They should try to run you out if you're a liberal.
In all my years (retired as a Brigade Command Sergeant Major) I never met a liberal soldier who was worth a shit.

I never met a SGM or CSM that was anything more than a Colonels lapdog, overpaid trash foreman or oxygen thief. The most worthless rank and Academy in the army.

Wonderful example of CSM-ism:
Instead of motor pool on monday CSM hands out golf balls at formation to be used as a gauge to measure if rocks in rock bed outside Bde building were too big. Only band SGM's produce anything memorable (Music).

I amend my previous post: I never met a conservative SGM/CSM that was worth a shit.

CSM things must have really changed since my days as a GI. I learned in basic that you had to have a dictatorship (enter US military) to have a Democracy. If a GI can't take orders it's fubar when you are put in life and death situations. When I got ready to ETS top gave me the reup talk and all and I told him I hated the fuken Army and had nothing but bad memories the whole 3 years I was in. He said (my last name) I guarantee you that in years to come all you will remember is the good things. He was more right than wrong most my memories are pretty good except for a few things that happened in country. But even than I think about the help we gave to the people and especially the orphans. I want to say thank you to you and every other GI that has severed our Country.

@GI 69 to 72 Nice post. Yes, unfortunately the situation with CSM's have changed. The army knew peace far too long and developed a lot of dumb things to justify a CSM's reason to be. Like polishing your boots every day while at NTC and him walking around with an airsoft M9 because the choad didn't want his weapon dirty. We felt bad for the enlisted who had that walking nutsack as a role model. I remember our Brigade Commander coming out to visit our Bn looking like he was in the field and the BN CSM walking up to him in a starched uniform with polished boots. Before entering the box the CSM had an extra couple sets of pressed bdu's in a quadcon that were left in a body bag (yes) so they wouldn't get dusty.
Another CSM (CavSqdn CSM) demanded his driver or motor pool to armorall the wheels of his Humvee and heaven help the PFC or SPC if there was chipped tan paint on the antenna whip. The army's E-9's have become the service's version of that guy on, "Say Yes to the Dress".

Ok I understand everyone's point of view and I respect it. The one major thing I've learned out of all of this was that EVERY SOLDIER HAS THEIR OWN STORY. It may be different than others, but I'm pretty sure that all of us have the same opinion in one respect, That is that the Military and Army and Nation aren't perfect, the people in it aren't perfect, and we all have our regrets, things that we wish we could go back and change. We all have our own hurt feelings and things that we feel we have been wronged in. But after all that I have to tell you, I will always love my brothers and sisters in arms and despite our differences I will always Salute You. Please stop giving the CSM a hard time, so him the kindness that you felt you were robbed of when you had your own CSM to deal with. Thank You to all that have served and that still are serving today.
