Has anyone noticed the new dump in the middle of Copperas Cove? It's called Cove Recycles. WOW. Right on the main road going thru our fair city is this parking lot full of large containers, piles of metal and plastic bags full of who knows what. Now, I understand that this is a business that buys and sells scrap metal, electonics, the occasional car and boat. They do provide a service to those wishing to recycle these items. But they could show some class and clean it up, hide it behind a fence or just move it to a location that is not for all to see as you drive thru town. Somehow, I do not think I could get away with this at my house.
When you go to the city's transfer station, you can't even see trash unless you are in the building, and they are in the trash business, yet this business is allowed to remain, looking like a dump for all to see. Is there anything we can do? Should they not be held to the same standards that we homeowners are held to?

So go ask the owner to put up a tall chainlink fence with a tarp attached. That'd probably be the best place to START rather than trying to create some uprising.

Cove recycles is renting that location. The city has an ordinance that will NOT allow the renter or owner to put up a fence.

someone should put a fence a 10 foot privacy fence around it, it looks like crap!! the city needs to take action. it brings down coves appearance big time!!
