One Who Really Cares

Killeen, TX

#1 Jul 10, 2012
As a citizen of Copperas Cove, I have been observing people from afar. We should be working together to make our city the best it can be. It seems to me there is one person in this town that has put themselves high on a pedestal and is trying to control areas of our city. Starting with CCISD ( they ran off our outstanding Superintendent). This person is always working behind peoples backs while looking them in the face and saying a different story. This person is always trying to get their way, and only their way. They are behind the leaks to the newspapers, when they should be trying to work for Copperas Cove. This person is trying to hurt those who are volunteering and working for the whole of Copperas Cove, this person is self absorbed and is only after the prestige, power and money in their pocket. More citizens are becoming aware of this person and what they are really like, and I hope more Cove citizens get the courage to stand up to this person. Am I going to name this person, no, each one of you try to figure who this is. I think you know who I am talking about. Take back all areas of your city, vote, speak up and take action.

Is it one person or several? You say "they" and "this person." It is a shame what is happening, I agree. But we have to stay positive (hard I know): there is always some evil pos who will try to sap all the good. I love living in Cove and try to ALWAYS say good things about our town. Great schools, low crime, and for the most part good christian citizens.

Once again we have a person "One Who Really Cares" and who points fingers.

And I guess that's OK.

It seems like everyone would much rather point fingers, hide behind a screen, not use their own name, and down grade everyone else.

And again I guess that is the American way.

If "One Who Really Cares" would "Really Care" then perhaps they would like to stand up and really be counted and run for public office.

It would appear you are not happy with the CCISD school board or perhaps members of the City Council and again that is OK.

So, stand up and be counted.

Run for office.

Be a leader and make a change.

Good luck to you.

Now that my wife has passed (10 July 2012) I do plan on leaving Cove.

Don't know who Jack is.

Sorry to hear about your wife Charlie. You have my deepest sympathies.
Wherever you go - Godspeed, and thanks for your service to the military, civil service and Cove.

I believe "One Who Really Cares" was trying to encourage others to take a stand and vote and be accounted for, not hiding behind a computer just blaming and pointing fingers Charlie Youngs. Glad you resigned. We don't need bullies and men without morals in charge of our city.
