I noticed the deli counter started going to poop a few years ago when one of the regular deli workers quit or resigned. I put up with it for a couple of times, then stopped. Good meats and nice selection, but don't need the aggravation.

Not related to HEB but WALMART. yesterday some women opened seven cream jars and checked them. I don't know if she was checking how full they were or was going to take some from one and add to another.

You are the type of person people dread dealing with, the people that work there could care less if they got over on you. By the time it took to work this up to a point of no return you could have wAlked in parking lot and found the 29 cents.

Our HEB is soooo inadequate for Cove's population. I'm still trying to figure out why the other HEBs have the automated labels for the produce, yet we still have to rely on the clerk being able to distinguish between a yellow onion and a sweet onion. Don't even get me started on the kids who stand around the front while we have to bag our own groceries...

When they first built this "new" HEB I thought it would be great. It wasn't that much bigger than the old ones, just better parking, etc.
It doesn't offer gas, as do most other HEB's to include the ones in Killeen, Heights and Gatesville.
The problem with baggers is that the checkout manager is nothing but a kid himself. I don't mind putting large items that don't need bagging into my cart after they have been scanned, but damn if I'm going to bag my own groceries and I've let the cashier know that on more than one occasion.
This supermarket has gone to crap the past few years. It's called lack of competition. Didn't seem to have this problem when Winn-Dixie, Brooks and even the old Poggly Wiggly was around.

I had no idea there were so many "perfect people" in the Cove and with obviously way too much time on their hands. People do make mistakes as these forums obviously reveal. Problem is most of the "perfect people" never learn from theirs. They are nothing but a bunch of mud slingers and stone throwers with no direction home.

LOL I must agree with True American! The people in Cove are ruled by the same corporate mob that has taken over USA Incorporated in Washington D.C. I wonder where these over fed, overly entertained, addicted to oil and war, national socialist corporate Amerikans, who are so blinded by their fat egos, will buy their food when martial law is declared. I bet they will literally sell their souls for a double cheese burger when it happens and it will. A veil truly has been pulled over their eyes. And as a maxim of law states, "Let him who wishes to be deceived, be deceived."

Wow. Just VISITING Copperas Cove and Googled HEB to find the phone number..... some people have WAY too much time on their hands. Have I ever had a transaction go wrong at HEB? Sure, people are human.... but more times than not any errors made were not only corrected, but in many cases the item in question became NC no charge because of their error. HEB also does so much community support here I would bet the numbers are amazing. I know in our community it supports all kinds of efforts. When it flooded in our Round Rock neighborhood last year it was an HEB trailertruck that pulled up and ofloaded pallets of water for workers and affected citizens. My wife and I are very active in troop support, and EVERY event we have participated in has had HEB as a supporter of some kind. The guy that started this post? It was 0.28 right? Have him contact me and I will give him his 0.28. Enough already!

My husband and i went to HEB in Cove on 8/21/2011 at 5:30am. We found out that the store doesn't open until 6:00am. So we decided to sit in the car in the parking lot and wait for the store to open since we had driven from Killeen. We were looking at the store and on the outside they had about three pallets of soda's that were on sale. All of a sudden Out of no where two what appeared to be teenagers walked up to the soda's and grabbed two cases and walked off. We just sit there in shock. My husband and i debated on whether not to tell. I decided not to because i figured it was just a waste on time because the night shift crew was a younger crew and they just didn't seem to really care about what going on around them. My husband and I made a bet and he lost. He told the cashier and she told him that unless they see it it's nothing they can do about it.He said that you have cameras and i know that you guys record this stuff why not just go back and do replay? She said there's nothing we can do about it sir, have a great day. My husband was upset by her nonchalant attitude. I thought it was funny. That tells me that HEB has no security for their customers who shop at their store at 6:00am. So someone could mug the hell out of me and these freaking people could care less.Wow and I thought Killeen was bad.

WHy didn't you call the police? I am sure the cashier could do nothing or poeple would complain that they had to wait longer blah blah blah, but yet you are a citizen and did nothing, so you are just as guilty. Dont point fingers and stay in Killeen, then you won't have to worry. If it even happened and you just wanted to post something to make them look bad, why didn't you start a new post, because yours has nothing to do with the original poster, other than you are both LAME

What did you expect they can't do anything unless they see it and even thow they might see something they can't stop the individual or force them to stay.

You have to be at least 90 years old to complain about 29 cents and teenagers stealing soda and not having the balls to say something or call the police yourself. Wtf is wrong with people? I am living in the twilight zone.

I work at HEB. The manager you dealt with is stupid, and so it the cashier. The apples were rung up on a different code than the return. Happens all the time. But in the case of the coupon, thats your fault. No one ever reads coupons. They just grab and assume. Don't expect that a cashier knows all the sales, we don't. Truth be told, we don't even like shopping at the same store, so we don't even know what isle the bread is on. And never compare Walmart produce to HEB's.

i stopped at the Copperas Cove HEB late Saturday night, 7 November to get me some fuji apples. i picked up the sales flyer and saw where you could get a free bottle of catsup if you bought fish, but i coldn't find the bottle of katsup. also saw where you could get a free bottle of mayo if you bought a packet of ham. well i didn't see the coupon for the ham and by the time i got to the cash register i had forgotten about it and placed the mayo on top of the packet of ham with the coupon in the middle. as the clerk was scanning i thought i saw the fuji apples rung up as $1.59 a pound and i was almost sure there were marked $1.49 a pound. so i paid and parked my buggy and went back and verified the fuji apples were in fact $1.49. i also noticed that i was charged for the mayo which was supposed to be free.
i talked with the cashier and she told me i had given her the wrong coupon. there was no one in line behind me or when i came back. so i told her that i didn't want the ham and mayo and also didn't want the apples since i was overcharged. so she took them off my bill and had to call a manager to get the override.
then i looked at my receipt and was surprised to see that the apples i was charged $1.59 a pound for were returned at $1.49 a pound. i asked the cashier to call the manager back over. i showed him my register receipts and he was puzzled and didn't know what had happened, but told me he couldn't do anything about it and i would have to come in tomorrow to see the store manager. i told him i would not be making a trip back for this. i mean we are talking about a total of 28 cents. he talked to the cashier about trying to do something on the cash register and i told him it is midnight and i have already messed around with this enough. another employee had stopped by and she asked me if i wanted them to ring the apples up and i told her no, i was going to wal-mart to get my apples. she replied okay.
so off to wal-mart i went to get my fuji apples. i was surprised to see they were .97 cents a pound.
cash register items:
HEB:
11-07-09 11:39 pm
fuji apples $1.59 a pound
11-07-09 11:48 pm
fuji apples refund $1.49 a pound
WALMART:
11-08-09 :03 A.M.
fuji apples $.97 a pound
this all sounds petty, but if HEB does this all day long it adds up. usually i more than 11 items and wouldn't catch HEB cheating me, but since i went in there specifically to buy fuji apples i noticed the price.
so HEB tries to cheat me on the sale price. when that is not successful they tried to cheat me on the return price. this was dumb.
and last of all, no one was in line, so why didn't the clerk ask me about not having the right coupon?
the answer is a simple one (SHE DID'NT GIVE A DAMN)
