He got too close to the nest!
Eagles give plenty of warning before they attack!(They get very vocal and agressive if someone gets to close to their young) Despite the claims by animal rights freaks they are not cuddley huggable animals nor are they afraid of humans! I wonder how many small children will become a meal for them before people figure out they the America Bald Eagle in starting to overpopulate like swans and loons? I wonder if they taste like chicken? |

The Eagle is hungry and has young on the way to feed.
To an eagle Hanable Hector, he maybe looked like a good meal... Glad he is ok. Wonder if anyone else seen this attack??? I have never heard of an Eagle attacking a Human! |

My bet is he stole an egg! He wouldn't have gotten any warning, the eagle would have just attached.

Democrats know (or in your case, no)the difference between "knew" and "new". Leave it to a republican to make an animal story political. |

Doesn't the eagle represent America? Maybe it's a symbol of what's to come if everyone keeps taking advantage of the U.S A... just kidding-I'm glad the kid is okay.

I think it would be so cool going to school with eagle attack scars on my body. Think of all the cool stories you could spin about it, long into your old age. :)

Oh my gosh, how dare that eagle defend it's breeding and nesting area. Tsk, tsk....
Quick! Someone call the DNR, or better yet, call the governor's office and have them waste more of our tax dollars and obliterate those pesky eagles. I mean come on, it's just a bird....Right??? |

I've never heard of an eagle attacking any one. It's possible that the boy was close to the eagle's nest and he felt threatened.
Glad he didn't get hurt worse than he was. |
