Vitamin C helps body absorb iron

Question: I am a plasma donor, and was told that I should drink lots of orange juice because it is high in iron.
No it is not the juice that has lots of iron. Vitamin C helps you absorb the iron into your system. You should eat lots of red meats and drink Vitamin C to help with your iron levels.
