year 2012 comes to a close and 2013 begins a new year tonight.
the most disgusting sight all through 2012 was on Metropolitan Avenue between 80 street and 73place. Garbage Canisters overfilled, garbage all over the sidewalks and streets, and after all day friday, all day saturday, they show up to empty the mess we all have to look at with our kids while shopping on Sunday.
Complaining doesn't help, with a Senator on 73 place you think maybe a phone call? NO!
Community board? NO!
Kiwanniis? NO
Chamber of Commerce? NO!
Lions club? NO!
We pay taxes and lots of parking tickets so whats the magic word to get an avenue clean?
FILTHY DIRTY AREA, AND NO SANITATION INSPECTORS TO GET A JOB DONE THE WAY IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE.
GO LOOK AT RIDGEWOOD, CLEAN AS A WHISTLE!
NOBODY GIVES A SHIT.
THATS WHY THEY CONSTANTLY ROB BANKS, BREAK INTO JEWELRY STORES AND STICK PEOPLE UP.
IT STINKS!

the SANITATION DEPARTMENT OF NEW YORK, NEEDS TO ADDRESS THE MESS ON METROPOLITAN AVENUE IMMEDIATELY.
NEW GRAFFITI ON 2ND.FLOOR OF DUNKIN DONUTS ONLY ADDS TO THE LOOK OF THE AVENUE.
Where is Bill Holden? Civic Association President. Is his areas of concern only up to Juniper Park?
Must we wait for Memorial day to get the Avenue swept up?

update-Improving on Metropolitan Avenue except for one thing.
Last Sunday was cold and we had 50 mile per winds. Yet it didn't stop NYC Reps from ticketing store owners $200 dollars. One corner store owner, just swept the sidewalk, and ten minutes later a ticket was being issued. Why? The wind blew debris onto the store owners sidewalk from the heavy winds.
FAIR? NO
You do not see these people for months but on a cold windy Sunday, they appear.
That individual was chased by store owner who was furious.
If an owner has to start his day minus $200 dollars, pay employees, electric, cooking gas, and heat, where does it stop?

news update-Maspeth Sanitation Department!
Today February 25th, the Metropolitan Avenue garbage canisters are over flowing!
No Pick up yesterday, WHY?
The garbage is blown all over the sidewalks and more than likely tickets will be issued to the store owners to start their day with a $200 dollar fine.
THE AVENUE IS A MESS!

WHERE IS THE CIVIC ASSOCIATION?
WHERE IS SENATOR ADDABBO?
WHERE IS ANYONE WHO REALLY CARES ABOUT THE COMMUNITY?

WE NEED NEW LEADERSHIP.

WHAT A DISGRACE!

WHAT MUST WE DO TO GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF?
