If you didn't know Cindy very long, then how could you possibly know what type of person she was? Give me a break! Anyone who steals money is not a good person in my book. I guess she wasn't telling her boss "like it was" while she was stealing his money, was she????

And to Unknown in Richfield: those "three little initials" did a LOT for your town.....too bad ungrateful people like you don't appreciate his generosity! And as for Cindy spying, are you serious right now? If you felt like she was spying on people, it was likely for her own personal agenda. Maybe she was planning who she was going to rip off next! Everybody knows there's nobody in Richfield worth spying on anyway. Well, except for maybe those "three little initials" that dedicated a large portion of his life to improving that town in so many ways!!!

If you have never worked for Jay, you have NO IDEA the kind of stuff he makes his employees do. I don't care if you are his friend, family or whatever...if you have never WORKED for him, you have no idea.

Also, just because he has money to fixed up a town, does not make him a good person. Yes its nice what he has done in Richfied, but that does NOT make him a good person.

So you are the disgruntled employee spokesperson/ in which case you should take up your complaints up with the man that signs your paycheck. What satisfaction could you possibly get from whining on here?

Nikki-You are 100% right and not the only one out there. Unless someone experiences it for themselve-they can not imagine how you are talked to and treated. As a man who has been there, it was unbelievable to be talked to in that manor & is something I will never forget. You must have gotten smart as I and moved on too. Now I go to work and work in an atmosphere that is not degrading, and have regained my self pride. I dont disagree that money was spent to rebuild a town and others can enjoy that, but only those that have been there can truly understand what it was like and maybe - not that it in any way makes what Cindy did right, but could have driven Cindy to make the wrong choices. Hoping for the best for all concerned.

"NIKKI" and "FORMER RS" you really have to be kidding me right? "UNKNOWN IN RICHFIELD" I don't even know if I should give you the time of day...you either "AMAZING".

Anyone who steals money from anyone else is a scumbag, lowlife, piece of garbage. And please remember that I am being nice because this is a public forum. Just because Cindy "seemed nice" in the past doesn't mean anything. Jerry Sandusky seemed nice...Bernie Madoff seemed nice and hey, I would bet that even at one time Jeffrey Dahmer seemed nice! Does that make them nice people? Should they get our support now that they are criminals?

Jay is a KIND and GIVING man. I know this because I work for him NOW and work for him STILL. He is loyal and he treats everyone with respect. Most of all he conducts himself with INTEGRITY. That is something that obviously MANY of you in Richfield lack. I recently heard that some LOWLIFE stole from him AGAIN in Richfield Springs and I was shocked! So I looked it up online and I came across this forum. To my surprise and horror instead of seeing the people that should be rallying around Jay in an act of support and OUTRAGE are instead throwing stones at him and trying to justify this RAT?

I have been to Richfield Springs. It seems to me,(an outsider who doesn't care one way or another mind you) that Mr. Bernhardt is the ONLY thing that is happening in that village for the positive. The rest of the village seems to be filled with the same old, same old. And I am willing to bet it would be exactly as Jay found it if he hadn't come and invested in Richfields future the way he had.

He is a very kind and generous man and I find it personally offensive that ANYONE would say that he is otherwise. I have worked for him for many years and have not found him to be anything but FAIR. So "Former RS" if you found yourself to be treated less than anything as "a man" (as you refer to yourself in your post); then may I suggest that you do not conduct yourself as one. Because you will be treated the way you deserve to be treated from Mr.B. He will treat everyone with kindness and respect until they prove they do not deserve it any longer by their own actions. Don't expect to be treated like a man if you don't conduct yourself accordingly.

Lets call a spade a spade.

Jay is a great guy. I hope this Cindy gets all she has coming to her.

If Jay is so worried about his employees stealing from him then maybe he should collect his own rent money!!! I knew cindy for over a year and I still think she is a nice person she probably got fed up with doing all the stressful crap, while he rolled in the big bucks.

Unknown, welcome to the working world. Cindy had a job to do and it wasnt STEALING from her boss. If she didn't want to work for someone else that CREATED her job, then she should have started her own company that would allow her to "roll in the big bucks" herself. I dont understand any of you people who defend a theif. Under no circumstances is it ever ok or justified to steal from someone else. It took more hard work than most of you will ever know for that man to get where he is. And nobody forces any of you complainers to work for him. If you don't like him or the job, THEN GO GET ANOTHER ONE!!!!!

Good for the town, think again it was all to pad his pocket. He bought companies and closed them. He did over Park Inn with tax money, and now it looks like its falling apart. Did he really use matching money?

There was a MATCHING grant, plus hundreds of thousands of dollars out of his own pocket. He didn't BUY companies, he started them (again from his own pocket), and then he spent his own $$ to keep them going. He did this for the love of the town. You think those buildings make him any money??? WRONG!

Now THREE people from Richfield have stolen from him.

That's not including any he doesn't know about... or the countless number of haters who consistently try to rip him off.

He didn't BUY companies, Oh Please he bought Three Printing companies, one in Cooperstown Closed, One in Fort Plain CLOSED and one in Herkimer Closed. So ask all the people that lost Jobs. Matching Funds not when you use over priced quotes for matching funds and end up not having to match the funds. You sure make money when you buy dirt cheap and use state money to fix them up.
