Queens pharmacist still offers a personal touch
When the bell hits the front door to Colombo's Pharmacy at 75-51 Metropolitan Ave., it is often followed by a familiar voice.

residents of Middle Village, and half dozen other area residents love to shop/pick up their medicines and dealing with a friendly group of neighborhood employees to boot, besides dealing with the owner himself, Vito Columbo, head pharmacist.
It is not the same by walking into a warehouse atmosphere chain drug store, and the pharmacists are in the back filling medicine orders.
Here you walk into Columbo's Pharmacy and he greets each and every customer like a cop on the beat. Personal touch that has dwindled down over the years.
Even a 33 year Real Estate Broker close by, Jim Turano, is the same way. He walks up and down the avenue, and greets more people daily than Politicians do all year long.
NOTHING LIKE OLD FASHIONED RESPECT AND PERSONAL TOUCH!
