Honda's Project Drive-in
In less than 3 months, the majority of American drive-in theaters will face closure with the movie industry’s switch from film to digital. Upgrading to digital projection costs roughly $80,000.
We want to preserve this iconic part of American car culture. So we’re taking the first step by starting a drive-in fund and donating 5 digital projectors. Your vote decides where they go.
EL RANCHO DRIVE-IN
6070 New York 5 Palatine Bridge, NY 13428
We are the Wemple family, and we own the little rural El Rancho Drive-In opened in 1952, ours since 1996. Located in the beautiful Mohawk Valley, in Palatine Bridge, NY, it has seen banner days, and hard times. It is the little slice of Americana that has survived poor economies, severe weather, the video era, the computer generation, and now it faces… Digital conversion. Our customers, as well as our family, love El Rancho. It’s an entertainment medium every generation can enjoy, and the only entertainment in our farming community! El Rancho is not one of the 5 biggest in the contest so it's going to take a lot of help and a lot of votes to get them one of the 5 projectora! Please vote for El Rancho and help keep it alive!
