Limbaugh called a women a slut over thirty times and got away with it due to his ratings.
the Food network axed Deen not liberals.
your complaint should be with the Food network.
had Deen's ratings been high she would have sailed clear.
as it was the Food network decided they no longer needed Deen and her baggage.
TV is a business, ratings determine whether you stay or not.
It wasn't about ratings with Deen; it was the way she, and her PR team, mishandled the situation with the various released and edited apology videos.

If it were about ratings, then her corporate sponsors would still be behind her. I, for one, have ordered a few of her cookbooks in her support.

As for Limbaugh, the truth hurts, and he spoke the truth with regard to Sandy Flake.$3,000 for birth control? Come on! Walmart has it available for $9 a month. She was put on a pedestal by the Old Hag of the House and Obama for being...a slut! Only liberals can get away with that.

no they decided to overlook his sin based on how much money they make.
just like limbaugh pill shopping for his drug problem.
all forgiven provided you have the ratings.

He who protests the loudest is probably the greatest offender..........

or

or as I tell my kids

if someone has to tell you how great they are, then they are probably not.

So, Baldwin is a hypocrite hiding behind the Liberal wall and using his Liberal policies to hide or compensate for his real actions and beliefs.

Deen was judged on her actions and is paying the price. Perhaps she will someday atone for her actions, but she is merely a footnote in our society now which was more than she ever should have been in first place.

Either way both are wrong, but Baldwin gets a pass because he claims to be liberal. Anyone ever hear of Kennedy Economics?

and how many minority contractors went to the head of the line to build an jet engine the Defense Department does not want?
spending Billions on it?
and while your at it why is SNAP means tested based on income but farm welfare is not?
how many Wall street firms are minority owned?
seems the conservatives have their own protected "classes".
What does that have to do with the price of eggs? But last time I looked, Democrats controlled the Senate and the WH - and have for years. Where's the legislation proposed to stop pork projects and corporate "welfare"? Why hasn't Holder sent Wall Street bankers to jail instead of going after reporters? Where are the IRS audits of white-collar fraudsters instead of Tea Party groups?

Blaming it on "conservatives" is just regurgitating Liberal Kool-Aid. But it's not a justification for wrong-headed policies in any case.

Maybe true that she would have fared better if her ratings were higher, maybe not. Limbaugh's show is about controversy, not the same thing. What about the things said about Sarah Palin, Laura Ingram, and Michell Bachmann by the likes of Bill Maher, etc.? Not a fair comparison. Yes, TV is a business - a business where you go nowhere unless you're a Liberal or an established money-maker like Clint Eastwood.

you said "certain minorities a protected class and put them at the head of the line for contracts, jobs, and college admissions."

so again which miniority owned company went to the front of the line to build an unneeded jet fighter engine?

the right wing was defending minorities getting a bonus while the company was tanking on wall street?
those firms being a hotbed of minorities taking jobs from someone else?
or the complaint in California over too many Asians earning scholarships solely on merit?

seems you want to only apply your scorn to certain groups while ignoring the handouts given to others.
when the minority of farmers are means tested like SNAP recipients then you would have a better complaint.
how much larger is farm welfare than SNAP?
seems the right wing House favors more welfare to farmers.
the Senate shut that down.
i am sure that the Congressman farmer from Tenn. was upset about not getting more welfare for himself.

and Maher did lose a show after improper comments.
Limbaugh had a TV show and the ratings were not there.
so it went away.
so FOX went nowhere because it is not liberal enough?
there are plenty of conservatives who work in TV.
ask Rush's buddy who produced 24.
about as conservative as you can get.
so the myth of conservatives being unable to be successful on TV is just that a myth.

I stand by that statement. It doesn't become invalid because I didn't address other areas of govt favoritism. My response was to a comment about minorities. Period.

But to your point MBEs are given preference in virtually all government contracts. I know that from personal experience.

I agree that ratings rule, but I wasn't talking about TV specifically. FNC found a niche and is wildly successful with it because most Americans still lean Conservative - contrary to those on the East and West Coasts. I was actually talking about Hollywood in general.

Unless you are already established, it is difficult for anyone starting out to overcome the Liberal bias. Did you see Jamie Foxx on the Black Entertainment Awards wearing a "Travon Martin" Tee Shirt? How many media types would be tolerant of a white person wearing a "George Zimmerman" Tee Shirt?

Even Liberal Alan Colmes admitted there was a double standard.

and billo forgets the difference between wearing a tee shirt in the memory of someone who died versus wearing a tee shirt remembering someone charged with a crime.
Hollywood is about making money.
if watching billo draw watercolors got enough viewers hollywood would be all over it.
conservatives have no restriction in the creative arts all they have to do is have the watchable product.
gee i remember Arnie doing pretty good in Hollywood.
and he was well known for being conservative.

Sorry ass whites are bowing down to ignorant n*g*rs. Is intelligence OK with that?
Has anyone watched the Zimmerman trial? Why do we allow blacks to bring us down as a society at the risk of being called racist?

You are deluding yourself to think it was "in memory" of Martin. Liberals and most blacks saw him as an innocent victim and Zimmerman guilty of murder out of the gate. And any first-year law student knows the evidence doesn't support a second-degree murder charge. As far as Arnie Schriver being Conservative, you must be kidding.
