C'mon neighbor. We live in a nice neighborhood, with nice houses and properties. Why in the world would you decorate your backyard with an ugly above ground pool. As I and others live in the neighborhood, I do not want to see this EYESORE as it is not in the covenants that we all signed. Buck-up you cheap-ass and professionally install an in-ground pool. You spent good money on the house so don't cheap out on the pool.

Choices are:
A) Remove it
B) I will get all the neighbors to enforce the convenants via a lawyer.

Amazed by the fact that anyone bothers writing on these silly threads? You got me! I, too, am "amazed".
Your falling back on the same old Woldow theme about that washed up former blogger is just sad.
Got anything better to offer?
Please do.
Otherwise you are not only a joke on these threads, but a sorry old hag sitting at her computer day after day writing about your imagined enemies.

Name calling again. Have you no other recourse? You give yourself up through your writing. You might as well just put your picture on it. But, please feel free to write. At least we'll know that you are not out and about stalking the innocent child.

Hi Rick, I see now why you quit writing, your spelling has gone south. And no, you won't be back like GM. You're not having fun today, are you! How can that Incident Report be false? Don't ever think using Topix to get the word out on you clowns isn't working, I got you and Orloff's attention.
Woldow, you above all should know the power of the pen is mightier than the sword. I haven't and never will lie. And what kind of a name is Rick for a girl? Ricky Lake...ahhh.
Please

meaningless sites!

I don't recognize the "GM" reference.
Unlike "OMG" and others, I cannot read anonymous people's minds.

I can't be Rick AND Woldow.
(Science is sooo annoying- don't you think? I believe in facts.)

This meaningless banter must be very confusing to fellow stay-at-home senior citizens searching for something to do. I might well be another old gal sitting at home writing about Quakertown and Richland and the surrounding area as it was and as I hope it shall continue to be.
ISPs may change with provider offers, but the stubborn live on.

Proud to be me! 50 years equality? Still much to accomplish.

"The power of the pen" requires an author. I have chosen to not stand (or sit) as an example for my grands. I encourage them to speak up and defend their values (as I do in front of them) yet have chosen to pass the past few hone-bound years writing here, too.

I'll be off this IV soon and then off to enjoy the day before more bad weather sets in.

Keep on sitting by the screen and imagining you are making a difference, communicating with whomever, and making some sort of a difference anonymousy so those of us who sign our names to the letters and petitions that matter can carry on.

Municipal regulations can require safety measures for above ground pools.
Real estate covenents and municipal regulations may restrict such items.
Only a qualified attorney knows for sure....

I was thinking the same thing.

On the flip side, you pay dues to the HOA, so contact them. This is their job to enforce the rules. Everyone who moves into a neighborhood with a HOA is required to sign off on the document stating that they have read them.

And I agree, above ground pools are completely WT. Why else would so many places ban them.

I just put up a pool for my daughter mainly, not just myself and whoever else use's it. It comes down in the winter. Its not permanent. It beats spending $20 a day or $500 a yr for the local pool. Sure it doesn't look all flashy like some other pools but I'm not about to spend $10,000 or more to have one put in and not get any of my money back if I sell the house.

I agree. For me it was put up a pool or go to Q-Town's pool and deal with the 3 plus times a season dump someone just took in the pool.

Is it a permanently installed, full metal walled above ground, or just one of those Intex metal frame pools?

If it's a regular above ground and your HOA doesn't allow it, contact your board. If it's an Intex, give it a rest. They can be taken down at the end of the season. Our HOA allows them, but they have to come down by Labor Day.

I'm not sure what "enforce the convenants via a lawyer" means. They'd probably only need a lawyer right away if there wasn't a HOA, but the whole neighborhood had deed restrictions.
