Excellent, I can't wait for a trail to walk on. Coopersburg has gotten so crazy with traffic that you take your life into your hands every time you go out Running/walking.

Now lets hope that fucked up crazy ass company Lutron doesn't do something to mess it up. The old man thinks everybody is out to steal his dimmer secrets. His head must have exploded when he heard that the public will be able to walk right thru his property, ha ha.

I wish that SEPTA's leaseholder using the line from California Road north of Quakertown south to Lansdale would give it up so that Bethlehem's new greenway could connect to the Cooperburg-Hellertown segment which could in turn link all the way to Lansdale (although lighting would probably be needed in the tunnel outside Perkasie).

As it is, it seems that the tracks in the Perkasie-Quakertown area look increasingly dilapidated (rooted ties/loose spikes/overgrown vegetation, barely any freight moves on it from the industrial park off California Road now that the shingle plant closed, and it seems the double-track line is used simply to store empty box cars.... I don't think that passenger service idea is going to get off the ground either. Bring on the rail-trail to Upper Bucks!

Septa retains ownership and can start
running trains there at any time.

Expect to see passenger trains running as far north as Shelly with some sort of rail traffic to Coopersberg.
Trains could run to Allentown as soon as 5 years from now.

Railbanking is just that, you put the right-of-way into a trust until it's needed.
