All I ever see anymore are signs around for a Beer Fest at McCools or the Train Station. How many Beer Fests does the Boro. need? McCools is having another one in Sept.. Seriously I have to look outside the immediate area to find interesting events to go to anymore.

If we could only get the Bush House to become a micro-brew restaurant. How awesome would that be.

Where would the residents of the Bush House go? There is almost no affordable housing in Bucks County. Displacing poor people for upper-class entertainment purposes is wrong. If Bucks County and the state were serious about treating everyone equally, more resources should be used to build affordable housing. Only then would I support buying and redeveloping the Bush House.

Send them to Camden or Trenton. Why should drug addicts ,Lazy people & people who fake disability get free handouts. If you want nice things you gotta work for it. Low-lifes hanging out near the train station is not good for getting decent businesses to invest in the area.

Poor people?

You mean drunks and drug addicts and other lowlifes. That's what lives in flop houses like the Bush House.

Do you know that in it's heyday, the Bush House was an actual hotel? They'd just be returning it to its former glory AND cleaning out the riff raff that makes Front St skid row.

Here's your Bush House residents in action:

QUAKERTOWN — Scott James, 28, of Hatboro was charged with possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia after officers investigated a report of three men smoking marijuana in the area of the front porch of the Bush House on Front Street about 7:23 p.m. Monday, police said.

Addicts choose to take drugs and alcohol. They should not be supported by our tax $$. If they are young & able they should be put to work & housed in the country away from temptation.Sick of looking at these losers when I work my ass off everyday.

I don't support throwing people away. And yes, we have to spend money to help them get back on their feet.

They don't want to get back on their feet. I'd prefer my hard earned money not be spent on their choice of addicted lifestyle. Thank You Brian, but hard working people don't need you to steal their hard earned money. Get a job. You might understand what I'm saying.

Instead of responding to my comments you should be engaging in damage control on the thread calling you crazy.

You mean provide them with Methadone, then they dont have to buy drugs & they get free accomadation & food stamps because they can pretends to be in rehab.I've seen plenty, they always relapse or overdose, but only after they have several kids & F up their brain. No support should be given for them to destroy lives.

They are calling Caldwell crazy. Not me. If you get a job? You can give all your money to them. That should make you happy.

Yeah, but they don't live there and sit on the porch and get high. Plus, you have all the drunks that live there. The place is a real sh|thole and you know it is.

Why should I pay for someone's bad decision to get drunk or high? They chose to drink, inject, light up, etc. No one was holding a gun to their head.

I thought this thread was about the Beer Fests. As usual it's turned into someone else's agenda.
