IF THESE ARE THE SAME STATE REGULATORS THAT LET THEM HAVE DEREGULATION ...DON'T WAIST YOUR TIME ...THEY WILL GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANT.
AFTERALL LOOK HOW GOOD DEREGULATION WORKED SO FAR..
SOMETIMES I WONDER HOW THAT HAPPENED.
Back in 1996, before ENRON got caught cooking the books and manipulating electric generation markets, they got some lobbyists and bought their way into the legislature. There was a rider on a bill, something like the "taxicab regulation bill". No one read the whole bill before voting it into law. The rider, set the stage for deregulation of the power utilities in the State. Just goes to show ya', a company with the right resources and lobbyists can get a bill passed that can reach out and screw you from the grave. Where was the State attorney general? Where were the legislative fact finding 'committees'? Where is the legislature that is supposed to listen to YOU?

Is this why we don't need oversight or real regulation?
The PA consumer advocate to the PUC has been in office since the 1970's. Must be comfortable.

Electricity costs are outrageous....who can live like this anymore. And the 30% rate hike that occurred in January was more like 50% in my bill.....what is that all about? Even changing to another supplier didn't help much. We are now living in the dark, taking cold showers and unplugging everything not in use just to try and keep up. GOOD GRIEF.
You switched to another electric company.
You showed them lousey bastards.

Now you're living in the dark, taking cold showers but you have the satisfaction of teaching ppl a lesson.

Hey PPL. Why don't you take a look at your advertising budget and make some cuts in that department. Do you really think you need to advertise your product when you are the only one in the area supplying your product?? Common sense is gone from business's. Stop all your advertising already and put that money to good use.

What is wrong with America today. We are suppose to take pay cuts and buy health benefits, pay tax increases, utility increases, high gas prices, insurance for everything....What are we working for??? Be happy you have a job...that's what people say...for what..so we can hand over what we work hard for to the Government, Corporations, etc..They are all sucking us dry and yet we continue to bend over and the sad part is it is the workers who get bashed for trying to stand up for what is right!!!

Where's the PA PUC? Don't we pay them to be the "consumer advocate"?

And what about Gov. Rendell? He's supposedly our governor and a member of the party of the people. What sayeth him about this railroading?
