Eric the incompetent is really in territory that should scare everyone. Tapping into the AP and charging the Fox reporter are really going after the freedom of the press that we have enjoyed since the revolution. He has gone WAY too far this time. If he is allowed to do this and nobody gets excited there will be no rule of law left in this country, and obama will crown himself king!

and where were you when the NSA was tapping phone calls across the country?
as to AP the search was to find out who was leaking classified info about al-queda.
gee i remember the FBI putting informers in anti-war groups guess them Quakers were a threat to the nation.
matter of fact even "lunge in front of tv cameras McCain" wants more info before deciding whether the AP actions had merit.
unless leaking classified intel about enemies of the US is something to just ignore.

It is a brazen attempt to restrict freedom of the press and to intimidate. The reporters were doing their jobs. I seem to remember the NY Slimes releasing classified material against the wishes of the government with no consequences.

you can ask "scooter".

you either want to stop the leaks or not.

You mean like the WH leak of classified info about the Bin Laden raid to help Obama's PR that jeopardized the lives of those who helped?

Rosen did not leak classified information, this had nothing to do with the AP deal. The Fox reporter and his MOTHER's phone and email records were looked at. Holder admitted he's done this to other journalists. It's leaks from govt sources that need to be investigated, not journalists whose job it is to report facts. It's clearly an attack on the freedom of the press.

Even Liberal commentators and staunch Obama supporters are saying this is the tip of the iceberg and is not going away anytime soon. Duke is right. O'Reilly is predicting Holder will resign before it's through. I hope he's right.

On the IRS deal, the former Commisioner met with the President over 100 times and never mentioned the IG's investigation? Now the woman in charge of approving non-profit status at the IRS takes the Fifth and refuses to testify before Congress yet gets to keep her job?? Shouldn't Obama be outraged at that?

Greg Carney's dancing around questions like cold water on a hot skillet. The House of Cards is falling down on these thugs.

Really? What was done to the NYT when they published classified information obtained by Wikileaks in 2010?

Nothing.

They targeted a CBS reporter as well.

I think the number of times they said Shulman was at the WH was 188...but he remembers taking his kids to the Easter Egg roll! He was there discussing the opposition to Obamacare, but said he didn't discuss the IRS targeting of the conservative groups that opposed it. BS I say.

Gowdy wants Lerner back to cross examine the testimony she gave before she pled the fifth.

She waived her rights by doing that and they have every right to question her about it.

At the rate this going, Obama will make Nixon look like an amateur!

you mean Fox outing one of the seal team members?
where was Issa when classified info if it was leaked?
he likes to witch hunt so where was he?
nowhere to be found.
billo claimed that wmd's would be found in Iraq as well.

as to the IRS the investigation was based on claims of red tape and intrusive questions.
the report speaks for itself.
as to claiming it must have come up?
you have no proof either way so it is a non-starter.
as to taking the fifth it is her right.
President Obama can let the investigation go through the process first.
then act on the results of that report.
should he be upset with her invoking the fifth certainly.

and shulman was a Bush appointee who made it known he would leave before the election.
shulman had no reason to lie for the President.
what would shulman gain by lying?
perhaps shulman was concerned that the scrutiny of the tea party groups was coming from supporters of mainstream republicans.
if that was the case shulman would definitely not say anything about an investigation to the President.

No, I mean the Obama WH outing the doctor who risked his life to help us find OBL and is now in prison after being thrown under the bus in order to make Obama look good for the election.

As to the IRS, the IG's report was scathing. Nobody's buying it was because of "red tape" except you, Lerner, Schuman, and maybe Candy Crowley. Lerner has a right to take the Fifth, but she does not have a right to keep her job. Unless that's the way Obama wants to "get to the bottom of it." She is a government EMPLOYEE. Employees who are suspected of engaging in criminal activity have no right to stay on the job where the alleged crimes were committed. She should at least be suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.

As for O'Reilly's prediction, I suppose you are perfectly fine with tapping journalists' personal emails and phone records even if "national security" is not a concern. I can imagine what you'd say if Darryl Issa was the AG. You'd be calling for his head on a stick.

What does being a Bush appointee have to do with it? Many of these appointments are non-partisan, it's not a cabinet post - the guy's a federal bureaucrat who'll work for anyone. What would he gain by lying? I don't know that he lied, but maybe to protect his flanks, friends, and pension. Crimes have been committed for far less. Tea Party scrutiny from mainstream Republicans? You mean, like Carl Rove? Give me a break.

so when Fox outs a seal team member it is ok?
the Paki's are not stupid they caught the doctor.
ask the CIA why they did not pull him.
most likely the CIA wanted to keep their agent right where he was.
or the doctor himself thought he was not under suspicion.

try reading the IG's report.
it shows the problems and the response.
not one instance of outside interference is mentioned in the report.
as to the fifth issue where does it say your job is gone if you refuse to play along with a witch hunt.
President Obama does not get to just suspend her.
the director of the IRS can as it is his/her job to manage employees.
President do not have that oversight of the IRS.
speaking of the witch hunter Issa he claimed he wanted a deep non-partisan review of the IRS before going forward.
so why should the President act before the hearings are concluded?
or the President is supposed to act without the full knowledge of what occurred?.
rushing to judgement perhaps?
and why does Fox all of a sudden pull a 180 and claim that leaks of classified info are not important but journalists?
not so long ago they wanted all kinds of dire punishment for the leakers and considered it Un-American for those new sources to use classified info.
guess Fox changes their principles when it suits their purposes.
as to Rosen the government wanted to seal off the leak involving nuclear weapons test data by North Korea.
you either want to stop those leaks or not.
